A great family friendly farm 1/1/2012

Milestone Equestrian Facility on East Broadway Haverhaill is a wonderful training facility weather you are looking to learn how to be a reiner, a hunt seat, western pleasure rider or just looking for a place to have some fun on horseback. Matt, Cheryl and Kaitlyn Wadman are all very knowledgeable, professional horse family. My family are new to the barn and have been at other horse facilities and this is one of the best barns we have ever been involved with. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere and a family with a boat load of knowledge inquire at Milestone Equestrian Facility in Haverhill you will not be disapointed. more

Great Lesson Program 9/2/2009

My daughter wanted to take riding lessons I was a bit nervous never have ridden myself. I have found that her instructor takes all precautions to make sure my little girl is safe and she always comes away with a smille on her face The instructor is flexible if I need to change the date or time of the lesson. Her lesson is one on one and the cost is very reasonable The people around the barn are friendly and seem to care a great deal about the horses. Pros: Qualified, Knowledgable Riding Instructors more

GREAT BARN!!!! 8/29/2009

The horses are taken care of, From show horses to trail horses and even big family pets. Stalls are always clean, horses are well fed, and horses are well groomed. Water buckets are always full and clean. Leasons are given from beginers to advanced riders. Her daughter was fifth in the AQHYA world show. This is a great place to ride and is a very people friendy barn, Pros: good nutrition and clenliness, horses well kept Cons: limited turnout more

Horse Happy! 5/30/2009

Horse Haven 5/30/2009

I can't believe the people below went to the same place I go! Milestone is full of wonderful caring owners - a great family that grew up there and treat the horses with nothing but love and care. The lessons are conducted the same way - with one on one attention and a focus on respect for the horse and safety. Milestone is great - nothing like it anywhere around - see for yourself! Pros: Caring, wonderful owners, great horses! more

A Hidden Gem 5/30/2009

We've been riding here for years and love it! The focus on horsemanship and safety is second to none. Individual attention geared to each rider - A great place for lessons and borders a like! Pros: Great staff, Great horses, Great location! more

Great Barn for Beginner Rider 11/19/2008

This is a small facility owned by a big-hearted family. They do not claim to be world-renown; however, their major riding star does successfully compete on an international level. Their barn is one of the warmest, best-protected, horsebarns that I have had the privilege of knowing. We entrusted our young pony to their care, for about five years, and he has thrived wonderfully there. A lot of good old fashioned horse-sense goes into their operation. Cheryl is a straight talker and full of great information; anyone wanting to genuinely learn about horses or horse-riding will benefit from what she has to say. If you are looking for a place to start your inexperienced child in to the world of riding, I can't think of a better place. It's a great stepping stone for children. more

milestone equestrain 4/15/2008

milestone equestian is a wondeful place. Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

If you want to become or be a better rider don't waste your time here!!!!!! 8/20/2007

It is the smallest stable i have ever seen. They only have two decent horses and there is no turnout except for three 15x15 fields and horses only get 15 minutes. There is no grazing pastures except the yearling field which is still small and the lesson and private don't use it. There riding arena is too small and they have cats and dogs running around uncontrolled. There is only an outdoor arena so they stop riding in the middle of November and they start back up in March or April depending on the weather. It a horrible place to ride and there is no care for these poor horses. These people do not know anything about horses nor proper riding skills. Donot waste your time driving up there. Pros: There are a few decent instructors. Cons: Everything else. more

Not a good place to board 6/10/2007

If you know anything about horses, you would not bring them to this barn or the other one in Saugus. Horses *absolutely* NEED turn-out for their mental and physical well-being. There is NO turn-out here for them except a tiny dirt paddock off of only ONE of the stalls. I imagine people boarding here just don't know that much about caring for horses, perhaps they bought the horse for their child, but please buy a couple of books on basic horse care. You can not keep a 1000 pound grazing being in a 10 x10 stall 24 hours a day - they NEED turn-out. No turn-out is cruelty. more

Avoid if you love your horse 5/15/2007

avoid it if you care about your horses health and happiness.bad atmosphere and self centered owner Pros: other barns in the area Cons: everything more

Best Barn in Saugus 10/29/2006

I find the negative comments on this review page to be slanderous, but most of all untrue. Too bad people feel they have to create imaginary bad press because they didn't get along with the owner - which has nothing to do with the barn or care of the horses or quality of their riding instruction. All the horses are extremely well cared for by competent, knowledgeable staff. It's a large 25 stall private barn. I've been a border there for over 7 years. although there is no indoor or all day turnout. We ride in winter all year, it doesn't end in November and start up again months later! There is a well kept ring in front of the barn that never gets muddy and has great footing for year long riding and they keep it maintained throughout the winter. There are miles of trail for riding in the Lynn Wood reservation. We have two instructors and have afterschool hours and weekend riding program. We have 6 horses currently in our lesson program. In response to some of the comments, we have a no dog policy. And in regards to horses needing turnout daily, yes it would be nice if that were possible full time. The horses are worked and out of there stalls more than a few times a week. Regardless their a happy, health bunch of horses. Pros: Great People, Lesson Program, Summer Camp more

Rude 10/3/2006

very rude and no reason to be stuck up...no ring to ride in and no turn out for any of their horses ...dont waste your time or $$ more

Horrible 11/25/2005

This stable is a nice place to ride if you don't want to jump or do alot of training. Pros: friendly, not crowded Cons: small, little riding space, small parking lot more
