Midwest Fiberglass Pools Inc

Late last July, I contracted Midwest Pools & Spas for a fiberglass pool and surrounding concrete patio. They wanted full payment upon delivery of the pool shell. They completed the work in late August. The concrete patio cracked and collapsed over the winter, and the pool tilted. Greg Hoover, the owner of Midwest Pools & Spa, came out and then personally took responsibility for the shoddy cement work and agreed to fix it. He requested we wait until pool season was over in September, which we agreed to. Now he claims to ""not have the money"" to replace the patio and repair the pool until his lawsuit against his cement subcontractor was complete. After the cement subcontractor filed chapter 7, they have refused any other contact. Due to multiple cases like mine,the Better Business Bureau has now revoked their accreditation and given them a ?F Rating (the worst)? more

Overall we like our pool. After a couple of years now I have all kinds of problems. We have had tiles fall off the edge of the pool. The concrete building that they made us use sucked! But most of all I am extemely disatisfied with the elevation of the pool. Instead of getting rid of the dirt they pulled out to put the pool they built up the ground the pool. Now my pool sits so high my fence does no good at all and there is no way to fix it. Pros: The pool works Cons: Poor Customer Service more
