Editorial review from Citysearch 11/15/2012

Been seeing Dr Rachal now for over 15 years; he is one of the best. Pleasant office and staff. Takes a bit to see him, but if you are good it makes sense. Great at diagnosis, follow up and always seems to go above and beyond what is required. \r \r Have to admit that I wonder about another review on this site where the person kept going ""for a long time"" but still gives an unfavorable review. Are they dumb? Or could it be that it is from a competitor who is jealous of his skills…..only wondering. Felt compelled to say check him out yourself and you be the judge. Good Doctors are hard to find and he is the best. more

Cyclothymic office 3/16/2012

Everybody in town seems to know Dr Rachal. I've been his patient for long time. His service has not matched his reputation. I've seen him on-and-off, making those returns for another chance based in misleading changes in his office's staff (and his own) behavior. My guess is that when business is down, they are nice, you get in quick, and he even talks at length with you. Yet, he has failed - and more than once - in solving a very simple skin rash issue. I'm finally saying farewell to Dr Rachal. more

Good Doctor, LOUSY Staff! 2/23/2011

Let me start out by saying that Dr. Rollins is a wonderful physician who truly seems to care about his patients. I know this from personal experience as well as from what friends have told me. The problem with the Midtown Medical Associates are the support staff. Dr. Rollins' nurse is not a pleasant person to deal with, you can leave several voicemails for her before she bothers to respond, and when she does, she has a very negative attitude. Is she overworked? Probably. But does that justify such a nasty communication style? As others have mentioned on here, the billing department is equally mean, threatening to send an overdue $10.00 copay (mistake was theirs) to my credit report. Really? For $10.00? Finally, the medical records people lost my medical records and it took them weeks to find it. How they lost it is beyond me, I mean, isn't their job to maintain the security and integrity of the medical files? I was never told where they finally found my medical records, but it didn't leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling that it could have been anywhere. Last (and definitely not least) if you've tried parking at Emory Crawford Hospital's parking lots, you know how incredibly difficult it can be to find a parking spot....and even worse, to find your car after your appointment. I have decided to go to another physician who comes recommended to me. I'm going to miss Dr. Rollins, but the support staff BS (and I mean BS in caps) was too much to deal with as a paying customer/patient. more

Wonderful Dermatologist--one of ATL's Best! 4/9/2009

My whole family has seen Dr. Rachal (Dr. Mack) for more than 15 years now--previously in his old practice and now at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta. He is a wonderful doctor who takes as much time as you need to answer questions. He will always call you back if you have questions following a procedure or have concerns--and he will put your mind at ease no matter the question/concern. I have only seen Dr. Mack in his Dermatology Associates of ATL office, but I'm sure he is great in his Midtown primary office. I highly recommend Dr. Mack to anyone needing a dermatologist in the city! Pros: Excellent bedside manner, has occassional Saturday hours! Cons: Sometimes seems rushed or in a hurry more

The Best Medical Care! 1/14/2009

I am a patient of Dr. Rollins and Dr. Rachel and I couldn't be happier. Their care and attention to detail coupled with their willingness to listen to their patients, go above and beyond what I have experienced with other physicians in the past. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable and helpful. There is never a long wait in the waiting room and I never feel ""rushed"" during the time of my visits. Parking is easy if you use the valet service available. If tests are needed they can be done in the same building which makes things very easy for the patient. Also, it's been a long time since I've had a doctor himself call me with test results that are of concern, but it's done here. I drive two hours to get to my appointments but it is definitely worth my time and effort. I highly recommend both of these doctors and this practice! Pros: Tops in every respect! Cons: No Cons more

incredibly professional/caring 12/1/2008

I've tried several dermatologists in town, but none impressed me like Midtown. Dr. Rachel takes his job very seriously and gives me a level of attention beyond anything that I have experienced before. more

Great Dr. 7/21/2008

Dr. Rachal ~ Love him!!! He is very knowledgable, personable and takes time to answer any questions you may have. He even met me at the office on a Sunday to replace stitches that had come out. I was expecting to have to go to the hospital but he agreed to meet me on a weekend. Great bed side manner. I HIGHLY recommend him. Pros: Very nice. Takes time with patients Cons: NONE! more

The office is very busy 3/13/2008

I was referred to this office by a friend and have seen both Rollins and Koralewski. Each doctor, in his own way, was fine, but neither exceptional. The office seems too busy and I was frustrated by the lack of care that the nurse showed. I had waited about 70 minutes for my appointment and people didn't seem to care. I am going to start looking for a new doctor's office. For the price and the time, I am sure I can do better. Pros: nice doctors Cons: Parking is a nightmare. Long waits for appointments. Hard to get in. more

Okay service, if you have the time. 3/13/2008

In my opinion, this office is pretty average when it comes to providing timely, high quality care. Dr. Rollins is far too busy, despite his good bedside manner, and as result, the waiting time for appointments is extreme. I just finished a 3 hour trip to doctor. Two of those were spent in the waiting room. Although I feel I got adequate care, as a result of being frustrated with the wait (and the doctor being hurried with how busy he is), I left with a prescription, but very little information about next steps or other treatment plans. I am now in the process of looking for a new doctor. One who has both the time and the foresight to provide comprehensive health care. Pros: Attractive doctor, nice demeanor Cons: Extremely busy, rushed visit with little time for patients. more

Best Derm I have ever had 5/8/2006

I have been seeing Dr Rachel for 3 years. He is without a doubt the best dermatologist I have ever had. He is truly special and worth the wait for regular visits but this office is very helpful if you need to get in for more urgent matters. He really cares! Pros: professional, caring , takes his time more

Dr. Rollins is a great Dr. He is attentive and a pleasure to visti. I highly recommend him. more

Best MD in Atlanta 8/17/2005

Dr. Rollins is a superb physician with a warm, disarming demeanor. He handles all health issues with professionalism, warmth, and respect. His staff is superlative; many of them have been with the practice since it opened about 4-5 years ago. Highly recommended! more
