My husband and I have been going to Midland Auto tire for years and have referred numerous family and friends there. Even when we moved out to St. Charles we would still bring our cars here. Unfortunately ever since Ron left things are horrible!! We wish we knew where Ron went. If you're out there Ron- let us know!Your honesty and EXCELLENT customer service were first class! Midland Auto and Tire for GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!! 9/9/2010

Ok...so I know I post a lot of stuff about being screwed over by companies and such. HOWEVER, I have been taking my Durango to Midland Auto and Tire now for over a year and they are just amazing. Today I went to the location (or old location) on Woodson, a man approached me (he was an ass) and told me that they were closed and will be re-opening in a week, I accepted this and went on my way in search or another place to get an oil change and find out what other maintenance needed to be done. I had just pulled into a parking spot at Dobbs at Lackland and Woodson, I HATE Dobbs with a passion, but desperately needed an oil change and this is my only day off till next Thursday. As soon as I put my car in park, I had a call from an unrecognizable number. I answered my phone and it was Nikki from Midland Auto and Tire asking if I had just left the Woodson location and I told her, yes I had. She said that one of the girls there recognized me and my Durango and called her as soon as I left to get me to come there because she knew I liked the service I receive. I thanked her greatly and told her about some of the other problems I was having, she told me the loccation on Midland was still open and to come there, I promptly told her I was on my way. When I got there she told me that she remembered my car and my first name and had to look it up to call me to let me know that this location was open. The mechanic looked at my car and gave me a list of things that need repair/attention and the ladies behind the counter gave me the list with pricing so I could figure out when I could afford to have the things done. Today I got an oil change and they got parts to do a tune up. I was then told that the location on Woodson was being taken over by a chain from some guys from Kansas City, the man who stopped me forgot to tell me that they were different than Midland Auto and Tire. The point is that if you ever need anything done without being screwed over and AMAZING customer service please go there, I cannot express how much I appreciate the service I was shown today by great people. 11264 Midland Overland, MO 63114 (in the same parking lot as Denny's @ Midland and Lindbergh) more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! New Managment is ATROCIOUS! 8/6/2010

New management is atrocious! What was suppose to be a week without a vehical, turned into a month. After installing 3 used, defective transmissions, and a few thousand dollars later; they have no record that we ever had work done at the shop. We are now out a few thousand dollars!! New managment refuses to recognize our intial transsmision warrenty as it was from old managment. \r There customer service is just appalling! They completely disregarded our willingness to look into the issue by responding with a bold “NO” to every inquiry. \r \r From my exprience:\r -When it takes a month for your vehicle to get ""fixed"", be aware that your Automotive Mechanic may be a Boat Mechanic.\r -Make sure that the car that THEY picked-up from a dealership and put out in the lot for you to pick-up, is actually yours! Keys were in it/ready to by drive away, but after closely evaluating, realized it wasn't even ours (just an unknowing customer from the dealership). Yes, this really happened!\r - They keep HORRIBLE records! It is up to YOU, the customer to keep everything in writing! \r \r They have COMPLETELY lost our trust and will NEVER receive service from our friends or family again. I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone. This is quite a shame to see the business fall apart. Old management really knew how things should be run.\r more

reaaly down hill since new management. 7/3/2010

Dealt with a manager that use to work there. He was very good and gave me great quotes, and always saved me money. I have brought at least 8 friends up there to have work done and they were very happy. \r \r Now I notived they have a new manager or management, and they are very bad. No quotes unless you come in which is a huge con. Not very good on the phone what so ever anymore. They maybe good on prices still, but I can't trust them and made sure the word has been passed around to my friends as well as the internet. \r \r If they were just more professional and courtious like they use to be I would have all my work done there still. They have cars all over their lot, and plan on waiting a very long time for just about anything. \r \r Sorry I had to write this, but all the people I sent to them are now not happy customers.\r \r To the previous manager way to go! You know how to deal with people and do all you can which kept me coming back and refering new customers to them. Pros: price Cons: new management bad! more

Finally an auto shop that's not working on commission!!! 7/25/2009

I purchased a vehicle last night. It needed some work. This morning I took the vehicle to Midland Auto & TIre because the shop I usually use doesn't have the machine needed for the repair. After today's visit, Midland Auto & TIre has my business. They were honest, prices were very reasonable, service was great and mechanic's were very helpful and answered all of my questions! They are great! Pros: Fair prices Cons: Maybe an appointment next time more
