Do not get me wrong I love the doctors, the care my daughter has been given over 12 years. I was shocked this year to get a bill from the office for $203.64, now that they are under NS-LIJ the billing as sky rocketed. They did not draw blood, run any tests, just routine check up. I have to say I am disappointed and upset will need to look for new practice to care for my daughter. more

We love mid-Suffolk pediatrics. We have three children (18, 2 and 8 months) and they have helped us with everything from minor illnesses to concussions. Dr. Bergman and Dr. Manners are great as are many of the nurses. more

I would not recommend this practice to any new partners. They were arrogant and dismissive of my questions relating to my child's vaccinations. Their medical techs are very rough with newborns and engage in unsanitary practices. One of the techs actually caused my three day old newborn's rectum to bleed because she shoved a faulty thermometer in too many times without proper lubercation. I was horrified. Their Front desk staff are untrained and extremely unprofessional. I was never greeted at any of my visits and treated poorly every time. They also discharge any parents who inquire about delaying or separating vaccinations. Needless to say, my baby is no long a patient. more

I have been very happy with the doctors here and the hours are very convenient. I don't like how all of the nurses hang out, eat and gossip behind the font desk in the Hauppague office. It bugs me that I am waiting in line to check out with a newborn and there are a bunch of people sitting there chatting like high schoolers, not acknowledging their customers. Also, I think it's awful that they don't have hand sanitizer accessible in a pediatrician a office! more

Some of the doctors there are great, however, the office staff is very lazy and rude. They forgot to bill $10.00 at the time if my daughters last visit. I ended up receiving a bill in the mail a while later. I had called and okay-ed with a member of their billing team that i pay it at the time of my daughters next visit. I continued to received notices/bills & calling. I then finally called billing AGAIN (4th time) I was told to pay or i couldn't make an apt for my daughters 3 Year Checkup because no one had noted the account that i had called the 3 other times to ask/say it would be payed at her next visit. Needless to say I will mail the check for what is owed, but they will not see me or my daughter again NOR will they see any of my family or numerous families I had originally recommended.All who are having children in the next few months. We will all be going elsewhere. ( This from a family history of 7 Children over about 20 Years)......over a measly $10! There are only a few doctors worth seeing anyway & its not worth dealing with unpleasant faces, rudeness, and incompetence. If you are still going to go, go to the Mt.Sinai office for Dr. Hofilena or Dr. Lasner. Although the office staff is lacking, the nurses at Islandia are cold and don't seem to care that they are working with children more

We had the worst experience with Dr. Berman at Mid Suffolk Pediatrics at the Hauppauge location. He was very rude and was not helpful at all. He was very nasty and made me feel stupid with every question I asked. I do not recommend going there at all! more

This group was recommended by a family member as well as a trusted friend 11 yrs ago. Still bring my child there! They always get you in, and you can request faves if time allows. (also been to both offices) I am happy with all the doctors for the most part. My faves are Dr. Manners, Dr. Hofilena, & Tracy Manners. Their hours are great, and I have always found them to be thorough w/my child. more

The convenience of this office is great! If I have a sick child or both are sick, they get them in right away! I prefer to see Dr. Berman and have established a nice relationship with him. However, since there are 2 offices, we either follow Dr. Berman to the Hauppauge office or see another doctor in Mt. Sinai. Our experiences with Drs. Hoffelina and Selden have not been great, but the other doctors are very competent and nice! The nurses are very nice, personable, and very accessible for questions and advice. more

For working parents, this doctors office is great. Late hours and weekends hours are offered. They can always see your child no matter when you call. All three of my children see Dr. Hofelina. We like him. He is a straight forward, no sugar coating type of person - just like me. He's pretty thorough and even picked up on something my husband had me convinced "was nothing", so I never brought it up. Cute exam rooms too - each with it's own theme. Oh- there is even a doctor who pierces ears, if you need. more

I was looking for a Pediatrician when my son was born, and this is the place that was recommended to me by a friend. The doctors seem very nice, and seem to know what they are doing. The problem is that my son really didn't feel comfortable here. You may say "kids don't like doctors", but the fact is that my son loves the new doctor we go to. I had to go with my gut, and went elsewhere. Maybe they will work better for you then they did for me. more

This Pediatric group is absolutely fabulous!!! Your amazing experience starts the moment you enter their door. The office is designed for children. It has amazing murals all over the walls and each examining room has it own animal theme with large colorful illustrations on the walls. Your next wonderful experience is the professional staff: The girls at the front desk are pleasant and professional. The nurses who give the shots are truly amazing! They have such compassion for the young children they are attending to. Finally, the Doctors in the office obviously enjoy working and dealing with children. They are full of smiles and pleasant child-like conversation too. One of my most favorite is Dr. Berman. His love of children was obvious to me when he took care of my twin boys in the hospital after they were born. He took his time and reviewed their progress and status with me. He truly cares about "your" child and never rushes you out the door. My husband and I have commented several times about how passionate he is. It's nice to have a Doctor who really does love his job. Choose Mid-Suffolk Pediatrics and you won't be disappointed. more
