Michael's Arts & Crafts

This Michael's is awful. I have never been so unimpressed with a company in my whole life.\r \r This past week I went in to the framing department to get some work put together. I had already purchased a frame and had the artwork matted and ready to go. All I needed was to have some plexi glass cut and to have the pieces assembled. I needed two 8x10" works taken care of. I went in on Sunday and they told me the work would be ready on Friday, so I called Friday afternoon to make sure it was ready to go. They told me that it could be more than five days until it's done AND that they hadn't even started to assemble it. When I asked if I could cancel my order and take it somewhere else, the girl on the phone gave me a lot of attitude and basically hung up on me.\r \r I picked up my work and took to Jerry's Artarama that Saturday. They did the EXACT same job for half the price AND had it done Sunday afternoon. With an awesome place like Jerry's, why would I ever use Michael's again? Also, I wen more

Every summer, my sister's children come to Texas to spend the summer w/ their grandparents. With the Texas heat, indoor activities need to be planned. And Playstation, MTV, and Internet don't count!\r \r At Michaels, I found a wide array of very simple yet involving home crafts, DIY projects, and other many creative things. The variety was impressive. Many well-known brands as well as niche' offerings. There seemed to be something for everyone. Especially attractive was the section for beginners, pretty much for any task (painting, stenciling, clay/pottery, chalk/pencil drawing, etc'...).\r \r A very enthusiastic recommendation for Michaels Arts & Crafts, not just for yourself, but for your kids! Remember to subscribe to the sales weekly flyer, often has coupons for special deals! PROS: Unlimited amount of materials and variety, great prices also. CONS: Staff wasn't all that knowledgable regards to certain product applications. more

I love to go shopping here at Michael's craft store as they have just about everything I need for a craft or home decoration item. They have alot of dollar items like notepads, stationary list pad, journals, etc. Their prices are pretty reasonable. They have good candles there & I bought one like a month ago. I had a $5.00 gc & used it toward the pretty scented candle. I love the way it smells like berries & makes my home smell so nice. They always have sale items there & I love to go there to buy items on sale & also I use a 40% discount coupon on a regular item!Two thumbs up!! PROS: love to shop there for holiday items & other dollar items! CONS: nothing that I can think of! more
