Michael Dean's Wood Oven & Bar

We were in town for the weekend so decided to try out the Monday night special. It was $39.99 (the price must have gone up?) for 2 salads, 2 entrees, a bottle of wine and a dessert or app to share. I ordered pork medallions on a bed of delicious cheesy grits (I've never enjoyed grits until this meal) in a carmellized onion banana sauce. It was wonderful and enough for two meals! My husband had hoisin marinated ribs with steamed asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both loved our meals, the wine was good and the dessert we chose was a tasty slice of chocolate truffle pie with raspberry sauce. The dessert actually came with two slices. Our server was slow and disappeared for 20 minutes, but the other servers were all attentive and the bar staff were very friendly too. Highly recommended! more

I've been going here for years and love the place. Only complaint is it's a little smoky in the bar area but love hte music and the Monday special. more

Michael Deans has this deal on mondays where for a set price you get dinner for 2 and a bottle of wine. its a fantastic deal, and a fantastic date for you and your love...or really even you and a friend on a monday night. the food here is amazing. i really like their salads, btu everything on the menu is fantastic that ive tried. The staff here is very eager to please, if you live in raleigh you must go here at least once. more

Michael Dean's Wood Oven and Bar offers the freshest seafood prepared in exciting ways. The restaurant often has live entertainment for diners as well. The bar is connected to the restaurant, but set apart from the main dining area, so that the smoke is well contained. Try the smore's dessert. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. more

What a great restaraunt! Located off Millbrook road, this restaraunt boost plenty of flair and fine food! Leave the kids at home and enjoy a quiet evening out with your spouse or significant other. YOu can either dine inside or enjoy the night air and eat outdoors. Known throughout the Triangle for its martinis, steaks and seafood, this place is phenomenol. Make sure you try the salmon. They run specials all the time and usually have local live bands play on Friday and Saturday nights. Better yet, go on a Monday night and get their special: Appetizer, dinner for two and a bottle of wine for like $30! Can't beat that!! more
