The Mexican Village used to be really good. I mean really good - but in it's current incarnation, it's definitely seen better days.
The food is generally still very good, but the margaritas are sad little concoctions full of too much mix and not enough tequila. The tortilla soup is still worth a trip to the Village though.
The Village still gets busy at lunchtime in the area, but after that, it's pretty much dead. A friend and I stopped in here for dinner on a Thursday night (a big going out night in Cleveland for some reason), and the place was deserted. It was strange, and did not bode well for the dinner, which was just passable and presented like no one really cared. Which is too bad, because the Village used to be a favorite spot for Mexican food in the area.
