Meso-Spa Robert P. Pitera, M.D.

First, this guys is NOT a licensed Plastic Surgeon! He told me he was a licensed Plastic Surgeon and he said the reason he does not practice in a hospital is to ""cut down overhead costs and offer his services at a lower cost to his patients"". The TRUTH is, he does NOT have a license to practice in a hospital! AND, since he is NOT a Licensed Plastic Surgeon, this means HE DOES NOT HAVE INSURANCE! That's right! If you are having him to a cosmetic procedure, good luck! Robert P. Pitera lied about his credentials entirely! He lied about his practice and procedures in his office rather than a hospital. He lied about the treatments he was performing and their safety and FDA approval. He fraudulently misrepresented himself to gain another patient, me, of his services - something I would NEVER had done had I known the truth. He botched my VaserLiposuction procedure and followed up by giving me LipoDissolve injections, a procedure that Dr. Robert Pitera said was, ""FDA Approved and Safe."" However, these injections, approximately 50+ I received, are NOT FDA APPROVED and they are considered DEADLY by the FDA and many Certified Plastic Surgeons!"" He also conned me into believing that a procedure called VelaSmooth would even out the areas that he ""botched"". This treatment with a Laser moved around my stomach not only DID NOT WORK, he burned my stomach several times. In addition to all of this, there's more he lied about, he did NOT even touch the 1 area I actually paid to have Liposuctioned. After Lipo-ing other areas instead, he had the audacity to tell me I'd have to pay for another procedure and THEN he would at that time lipo the small area on my lower stomach from pregnancy...even though that's what I paid for in the first place. During the procedure I was awake and I felt the pain! The anesthesia wore off and HE kept giving me more anesthesia. I was totally out of it but I noticed the nurse and his assistant telling him he could NOT give me more anesthesia, that is was dangerous. He'd reply, ""Just a little more."" Then HE would give it to me himself. He did this several times and each time the nurse and assistant would tell him, ""She can't take any more anesthesia, it's dangerous."" Needless to say, this quack's case is now in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office under investigation for CRIMINAL CHARGES of FRAUD. **Note: I tried to give a lower rating, more of a WARNING to stay away from this quack! more

I have been a patient of Dr. Pitera for about a year now. I have been getting Botox every 4-5 months with him & Juvederm injections in my lips & frown lines. Dr Pitera is excellent at listening carefully & is extremely attentive to his patients needs and very knowledgeable in his profession. I was very apprehensive to get my procedures done at first & every visit he has always taken the time to sit with me and talk me through things, give me suggestions and make me feel more at ease. I came back for several visits for my lips until I got the desired size I liked which he was extremely patient and understanding of my request. He’s done an excellent job & I love the work he’s done for me. I will continute to go back to him and recomment anyone to visit his office. I am extremely happy with my results. I’m a 31 year old female & feel more confident and my face looks so natural just better and younger ! I’ve visited other plastic surgeons in Manhattan for consulations & have only come back to Dr. Pitera as he’s the only one I felt I could trust with my face. I had never had any kind of cosmetic procedure and was kind of scared to do anything that might go wrong or make me look ""done"".\r Dr.Pitera was a godsend! Due to having Juvederm fillers under my eyes and in my laugh lines and mesotherapy, I am years younger looking NATURALLY and lost inches off my waist and stomach as well as my chin.\r Dr.Pitera and his assistant made me feel at ease right away and I felt pampered in their beautiful office- I actually enjoyed my time there!\r I'd been to some other cosmetic surgery offices to inquire about their services but always left feeling like a ""number""- they were so impersonal it made me feel like I was in a meat market so I never went back to them. With Dr.P, I had one on one attention from the very beginning and felt like I was in good hands.\r I cannot reccomend Dr.Pitera highly enough and know I will continue to utilize his outstanding services. I have been with Dr. Pitera for about 4 years. I have been getting Botox every 4-5 months with him. He takes time, never rush me out, he is very gentle and I NEVER get bruise from his Botox. He does my Juvederm for my lips and corners of my mouth, I love it. Recently, I went through Thermage to melt fat on the jawl line, since I do not have definite jowl line. This doctor is excellent when it comes to listening carefully to the patient. He is very attentive, and concerned and that's what made me decide to do my procedure with him. I had thermage done... I'm only 31, and din'dt need it soooo much, but the little I needed, I had zero results. The thermage didn't work. I can imagine that if it didn't work for someone like me who was looking for just a little, but used up a whole hours worth of the product, how much more worse would it be for someone looking for dramatic results .
