Mel's...what would we do without it, Tampa 4/7/2006

Mel's has been around longer than I have! It is a WONDERFUL place to get a dog! I, myself, am not a huge hot dog fan, but I make exceptions for Mel's!!! The ONLY "complaint" I would have is they do have the skin on kind of dogs. Not a favorite of mine (the skin on, I mean), but Mel's just ROCKS! It's another of the little local favorites! For the selection, price, and atmosphere, it can't be beat! more

Hot Dog ! 3/19/2006

If you just have to have a great hotdog then look no further then Mel's. They only serve 100% Vienne Beef Hotdogs and it really makes a difference in the taste. They also offer selections that are typically hard to find with a lot of good bun selections and condiments. I really love to try something new everytime I go but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the chicago style. The hotdog mobile outfront really fits the decor also. more

If hot dogs are a favorite of yours,then Mel's is the place to go for hot dogs in the Tampa Bay Area. Mel uses only Vienna Beef 100% beef hot dogs. They are served on a freshly steamed poppy seed bun."All the way" is with mustard,onion, saurkraut,relish and a pickle slice. more
