Big Movie Fun 8/6/2005

McLeod Busse IMAX located next to the Science Station in Cedar Rapids really does offer a unique movie going experience. The shows are spectacular and cover a wide variety of subjects. In addition, popular movies such as Batman can be seen there. The staff at the IMAX does a great job of moving people in and out quickly, and you can save some money if you purchase your IMAX ticket along with admission to the Science Station. It's a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. more

Envelope yourself in the movie 7/28/2005

It is a better deal to purchase the combo ticket to see a movie and visit the Science Station. Not something that is affordable to do every week. They are both pretty cool places and are well worth the money. My sister and I go here everytime a new show starts....we may be dorks but it's an awesome show! I would highly recommend this place to everyone! more

Great Place to See Movies 7/19/2005

This Imax theater is located in the same building as the Science Station. You can buy a combo ticket that includes the Imax and the Science Station. You can not beat the Imax experience! The screen is huge and the Dolby sound system is great. I especially like the educational films. We have seen films about Mount Everest and Egypt. You can call ahead to find out what films are showing and the times available. more

Must see 7/15/2005

This is a neat theater to visit at least once. I went to see the ocean movie. Very neat on the wrap around screen. The sound in this place is incredible. You really feel like you are moving at times. They do tell you not to get up and move around. Besides, that is not difficult since the shows only last around 45 to 60 minutes. more

IMAX Theater - must see 7/12/2005

We enjoy going to movies at the IMAX every once in a while. The price is $9.75 for adults/$8.25 for children to see a 45-minute movie. It is a better deal to purchase the combo ticket to see a movie and visit the Science Station. Not something that is affordable to do every week. The seating is really neat and is not too steep. The screen goes all around you and the visual effect is astounding. The Dobie sound system really helps too. Everyone should visit this at least once. more
