McCormick's Creek State Park

I have been to Mccormick's Creek State Park a few times. Last time was last summer. We visited there with my father-in-law's family for picnic. It was too hot for picnic that day, but the park was very nice. Although it rained one day before the picnic, it was fun walking on hiking trails. There was a small cave on the trail, but as I remember, it was not tall enough for an adult to go inside. There were several broken trees on the hiking trails which were caused by tornados they had a few years ago. I was a little shocked to see those broken trees thinking how scary tornados can be. We are planning to go on camping this fall at Mccormick's Creek. I am very excited to think how much more fun we are going to have at this park. more

We visited this park for the first time last fall for an IN-GEO (Indiana Geocaching) picnic. The picnic facilities were very clean and well maintained. We spent quite a bit of time along the hiking trails and found them very well maintained as well. The park is beautiful with many neat features like waterfalls and caves. Camping facilities are available, and although we did not take advantage on this trip, many others in our group did. more
