I had a terrible and very scary experience with this plumber. He showed up late to look at a job and to give me an estimate. I was a bit put off by his appearance as he has extremely long, wild graying hair, had an obnoxious heavy metal concert T-shirt with a picture of a huge marijuana leaf on the back and looked as though he hadn't slept or showered in days but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He told me that he needed more tools and would be right back. He showed up over an hour later with a tool box and proceeded to tell me 3 minutes later that he couldn't do the job. He then left after performing absolutely no services and telling me that he could not help me - something about he couldn't physically get to the needed area to perform the repair and that someone would have to move a heavy machine. After two weeks, I had the original builder perform the work with no issues. After one month, I receive a 'service call' bill from Joseph McCarthy, Plumber. He charged me for a service call as well as the hour that he was not at my home (when he was obtaining his tools wherever they were that it took over an hour long). He then proceeded to call me very late at night (after 10pm) and very early in the morning (6:30am) on several occasions to tell me that I had better pay the bill. Clearly, he was attempting to intimidate me. This continued to happen until I very nicely asked him to stop calling my home at inappropriate hours or I would be speaking with the authorities for harassment. Luckily, it did then stop. This man is very scary and very dishonest. I would warn anyone to stay away from this man. I'm actually frightened (of him) to write this review but find it necessary to spare others of him.
