The Maverick Apartments is actually a really great place to live. Whoever wrote the very negative review about the apartments was obviously just ticked off about something, probably the fact that they got evicted or did not get the chance to live in such a beautiful building. I myself love the big city, downtown style of living, and that is exactly what the maverick building has to offer, being in the perfect spot right in the left ventricle of heart of downtown San Antonio. Of course the building is not as quiet as suburban parts of San Antonio because it is downtown. But if you enjoy ""sounds of the city"", that is exactly what you will hear. All of the residents are really kind, easy going, and respectful. Best of all, everybody looks out for one another and the management is always up to date with whats going on. If you have a vehicle, parking for residents is only 50 dollars extra a month to park in a very safe parking garage right above a bicycle police station. The building has an abundance of corner apartments with spectacular views. Depending on which side of the building you reside on; you and friends can catch a view of the famous San Antonio riverwalk, the Alamo, the Tower of the Americas, and many other beautiful sites San Antonio has to offer. Since it is downtown, of course you have to learn how to deal with homeless people asking for change, and sometimes sleeping outside of the building, but in my eyes that is something that everyone in their life should see in order to gain perspective of how it is for some human beings out there; ultimately making yourself appreciate what you have in life and learning not to take the small things for granted. I would recommend the Maverick Apartments to anyone who is tired of living the boring suburban lifestyle, and seeks an adventure that will never be forgotten through the rest of life. I love living here because everyday there is something new to do, or try, and someone new to meet. On top of all this, the riverwalk is literally one block away, making it difficult to become bored. How can you be bored when you are less then a minute walk away from one of Americas most visited tourists attractions? - Tony
