after my massage my body became completely covered with itchy red bumps that only worsened as time progressed. i went to a physician who determined that it was not allergies and that it could be bed insect (won't let you type b*g for some reason) but there is no test to to unequivocally determine this. i called massage envy to complain and all i got was an unhelpful response about how they'll check the company that washes their sheets. i waited a week for a response before calling them again. they said that they'll let the manager know. i have worked at a day spa before (lepli day spa in boston, ma) and if any customer was the slightest dissatisfied, they would attend to their complaint IMMEDIATELY and go to any length to solve the problem, comping all services they received. also, with this i understand how difficult it is being in this industry and wouldn't complain had it not been a serious issue. of course, never got a call, so i called them AGAIN. the owner actually got on the phone and, rather than try to mediate the problem, refused to take any responsibility. i had gone nowhere but this place and then went straight home, which she then said i got it from my own house! at this point i became furious and demanded my membership canceled and my money back. she went on to say over and over that they can't just give out refunds to everyone. flustered, she said she would think about it and let me know when she figured out what SHE wanted to do. of course, i haven't heard from them and it's been 3 days. suffice to say, i do not recommend this place to anyone. the COMPLETE and UTTER lack of professionalism completely astounds me. if you are unable to adequately handle customer complaints than you have no business opening an establishment primarily based on customer service.
