Good food, not so good service in a cramped place 8/3/2008

This place was somewhat crowded on the Saturday evening that we went there. We had to wait a few minutes to get seated - they appeared a little short-handed. We were seated at a tiny table for two, that was created from a tiny table for four, and was very close to the other table where a couple was seated. We asked to be seated at some other table that would not be so close to others and even though there were a couple of other tables empty, the waitress did not seat us there saying that the other tables were for 4 people. The appetizers and entrees were served together. The food was very flavorful and tasty. We ordered the curried eggplant and potatoes with some bread and the spices in the curry were just right. It was really good food - good enough that we would overlook the shabby service to go to the place again. Note that the food is not cheap especially because the entree is not served with any bread or rice. Pros: Food, close to public transportation Cons: service, ambience, parking more

Huge Portions, Great Value 4/13/2007

I wound up here after finding on citisearch as a BYOB...which is is NOT! That aside, this was a huge find. Small dining room, attentive service, interesting menu. We ordered rather conservatively and have been addicted ever since. The portions are huge, the food tastes fresh and made to order, and comes quickly. We have used it for both take out and eat in, and have no been disappointed yet. Great Tibetian restaurant, don't be afraid to try it; get the fried breads with spinach!! Amazing!! Pros: Huge Portions Cons: Small, no bar more

Great Weekend Buffet! 6/29/2006

This place has is clean with a quiet atmosphere, curteous wait staff and GREAT FOOD! I especially enjoy the weekend buffet (that is still available after all the indian places on the street are done). My favorite dish on the buffet is the curried eggplant and potatos. The eggplant just melts in your mouth. I also like the tofu with peas and the curried chicken, as well as the steamed buns. My only regret is that the curried eggplant is not an item on the regular menu, buffet only. The dishes on the main menu are pricier then the buffet which is all you can eat and two tables of yummies, but still worth it for a nice place to dine during the week. Pros: nice waitstaff, yummy weekend buffet Cons: not all buffet dishes on main menu more
