Great Place! 8/27/2003

My husband and I had heard our friends raving about this place for weeks! So, we finally went out to dinner with them at Marmalade Cafe in Sherman Oaks, and they were right! What a charming little restaurant...with great food, great desserts, and just a cozy, quaint atmosphere that I really enjoyed. Oh, and our server was exceptional! This will definitely be a place that we will be visiting again! Pros: Great Atmosphere, Warm, Cozy, Great Service Cons: A Little Pricey more

Terrible Service 7/1/2003

The food and atmosphere are both fantastic, but the last 2 times we have been there they have 'forgotten' to put our orders into the computer, leaving us to wait for at least 30 minutes for our food, one time they forgot to put the order in twice. more

Always a good choice 6/4/2002

Great soups. Great variety. Good service. Relaxing atmosphere. Should always be a solid choice for places to bring people for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. The menu selection is huge so there's something for all tastes. more

Especially the carrot-ginger soup. The service at the Sherman Oaks restaurant was TERRIBLE! We had ordered some food over the phone for a picnic. When we went to pick it up NO ONE would help us. There was no hostess and for about 15 minutes we stood helpless - many employees (both wait staff and managers) walking by and avoiding any eye contact at all costs. more

Marmelade is a Valley staple. A huge menu, large portions and pretty reasonable pricing make Marmalade always worth the visit. On a busy night, the service can be a little spotty, but the waitstaff is very professional even as they occassionally have to cover too many tables. The onion soup is delicious, as are most of the salads and deserts. more
