best sushi at best prices 2/11/2007

This place is awesome! the sushi is always fresh, they always have the right selection at unbeatable prices. i've tried other places like blue c sushi but nothing came close to sushi land. although i do wish the girls that worked there would be a bit more attentive but that's beside the point. if you like sushi then this one is a must-see place Pros: sushi, selection, prices Cons: staff forgetting my udon and drink orders more

Awesome quick sushi 11/23/2006

I've been going to Sushiland for years. I love how you can simply pluck off the conveyer belt the sushi you would like and if you don't see one (or more) of your faves, simply ask and they will make it for you. Price is awesome and I always leave here stuffed! The sushi has always tasted fresh and I've never felt bad after eating a meal here. As for some people's concerns about conveyer belt sushi - I took a coworker here a week ago who hated conveyer belt sushi places after a bad experience and she loved it (definitely beat me out on eating sushi!). I wouldn't recommend this place for a group larger than 4, but if it's only a couple of you, you should be fine. Only down sides would be the VERY limited parking as well as seating which can attributed to the wait times when they get busy (typically lunchtime) but even so, it's worth it when I get the craving. Pros: Awesome fresh sushi, selection, prices Cons: VERY limited parking, limited seating = possibly long waits more

Price ? quality ratio is excellent 11/19/2006

Very inexpensive sushi with superb quality. We used to live in Bellevue and went to this place with our kids every weekend, returning occasionally for a lunch or dinner on weekdays. Both our sons (7 and 15 y.o.) loved it! After we moved to downtown Seattle we can not go there as often as before, but we still drive to Bellevue once in a while just to visit our favorite Sushi Land. It?s truly stated that the place is always busy and crowded, but this is the indication of how popular it is. We?ve been living in Seattle area for 8 years and this place has definitely the best price versus quality ratio. It is not romantic or charming at all, but if you are looking for good, fresh and tasty sushi for a great price, this is the place to go. Pros: great value, tasty food Cons: too crowded more

Really Good Sushi 11/4/2006

This is a great way to eat a variety of sushi for not a lot of money. At any other restaurant, you are somewhat limited as to the variety of the sushi you order, but at Sushi land the majority of the sushi comes in pairs, as apposed to 5-6 piece sushi rolls. I have only been to two Sushi Lands in the Seattle area, but I would recommend all of them. more

Really Good Sushi 11/3/2006

This is a really great place to go if you like sushi and don't like the usual wait or expensive prices. One of my favorites on the menu is the calamari. It makes a great compliment to the sushi and soups that are available. I would recommend for lunch or dinner. Pros: Small wait time Cons: Service is a little slow more

Good sushi on demand 11/1/2006

I like that you can sit down and start eating sushi right away, usually sushi takes a while to make. The selection is nothing great but they gotten their menu down pretty well. My favorite is the seared salmon and the unagi. The prices are fair and the service is good. Sometimes there is a wait and I hear that it gets packed for lunch. Pros: Good sushi, price Cons: Wait, variety more

Bad Serice and Table Turnover 10/28/2006

This place isn't bad considering the low prices and novelty of the conveyor belt, however they are definitely lacking in the service area. It takes them way too long to clean up a seat, even when there is a huge line. If they simply hired a few more people (with better attitudes) the wait wouldn't be so long and frustrating. The sushi is average at best and often warm, but at least it is cheap. Calling in a pick-up order is a good way to avoid the line, but they often don't answer or wait to pick-up until the 20th ring. Overall they have cheap eats and a moderate selection depending on the time of day, but if quality, efficiency, and service are important to you then this is not the place to go. Pros: Cheap Sushi Cons: So-so Sushi Quality, Bad Service and Long Lines more

Love it! 8/9/2006

Great staff, great sushi! I go to this place approx. three times a week. The people who work here really enjoy what they're doing. They're also so generous with the special sauce (mayo+hot stuff) that they sit the bottles on the conveyer belt along with the other sushi. It'll take them a while to make your orders as the take-outs volume increases. If you hate waiting, try to swing by around 4.30pm-5.15pm. Pros: price, sushi, service Cons: nada more

Best Value Sushi on the Eastside! 3/11/2006

I stumbled across Marinepolis while looking for a sushi restaurant on the Eastside. I've never been to a conveyor belt type sushi restaurant so I didn't know what to expect. I was very impressed with the value and the taste and freshness of the sushi. Sometimes there isn't a very wide variety of sushi on the belt, but that's probably due to everyone eating it so quickly even though the chefs are continuously creating more. The biggest con about the restaurant is that it takes a while to get a seat (I'd say at least 20 minutes but don't be surprised if your wait is 40 minutes). We learned our lesson and never arrive at the restaurant starving. The best attribute of the restaurant is the value. My husband and I have never paid more than $25 (average is less than $20) for dinner not including tips. Pros: Inexpensive, Fresh Fish, Good parking Cons: Close Patron Seating, Extended Wait Time more

A great place for some good sushi! 11/6/2005

It is a very nice atmosphere. The food is put on a conveyor belt and you take what you want. It is reasonably priced. It is a good place to eat if you are looking for healthy sushi. Pros: Inexpensive, great taste, fast service Cons: crowded, parking more

Horrible attitude 7/23/2005

Can't deny they have cheap sushi there, however, the attitude of the store manager (or cashier?) is very rude, especially not friendly to kids... I don't recommend family with kids for this place. more

Lovely place 7/19/2005

What a lovely place to eat sushi. The service is lovely, the sushi are prepared fast. The seafood is very fresh since fish (ex salmon) is cut in front of you. Great menu which is expanding. I love going there. more
