I took half a day off work yesterday and we drove 2.5 hours to Marcum Road Animal Hospital for an Ear Crop Consultation in Lakeland.They were highly recommended and not too expens...

Vet has skills above most 5/11/2011

The Vet at Marcum Road Animal Hospital saved my cat's life. She was so sick she actually coded in my arms. Thank God I was there at that time. My cat was taken from my arms to the back and saved. As a nurse I can say the skill shown today was equal to top human physicians. Thank you to all at Marcum Rd Animal Hospital. They are always professional and the Vet has skills above most. more

The is one of the best vets around. The previous reviewer evidently had a problem with her. I've had no problems. She is not as expensive as you think. She gives alot for the buck. Sone vets charge separately for things. When she gives a physical it is complete, not just a couple of shots. more

This vet is great with handling my pets. She seems to take that extra time and effort to really try to solve any problems. She is fair in pricing...especially for the service she offers. No matter what other reviewers say, she is not just there for the money but for the well-being of the pets and thats what all vets should be doing. more

i continue going there for services and supplies 4/29/2011

marcum road is great because as a smaller practice i always see the same techs working and its nice for people to know me and remember my pets without having to look them up in a file. they are caring there and thats why i continue going there for services and supplies more

plan to travel the extra 30 minutes just to see them 4/28/2011

I have taken both of my dogs to this animal hospital over the last 2yrs. They are always very pleasant and the vet will take extra time to anwser any questions/concerns. We have moved and plan to travel the extra 30 minutes just to see them. more

Reptile Care in Lakeland 2/21/2010

My iguana was suffering from hypocalcemia and looked quite alarming with severe symptoms. I thought it was the end for her but Dr Gedeon treated her over most of Friday, (that woman keeps some long hours) and gave her back to me with a series of shots for her. Very reasonable cost. Getting her well wasn't easy. I fed that lizard with a syringe for three months but she's happy and healthy now. We need vets who know more than dogs and cats! Pros: A vet who knows more than dogs and cats more

other viewers must be confused 3/18/2009

the other viewers must be getting dr gedeon and dr irland mixed up. i went to dr irlands office when it first opened and had to sit there for about 3 hours and the staff was very rude and unhelpful and his office has an old cat walking around.\r after taht experance i went to marcum road animal hospital (dr gedeon)there were no cats loose and the staff and dr. were very friendly and professional. Pros: couldnt ask for a better vet more

Not the best service 9/4/2008

I'm sorry, Dr. Gedeon, She has a very snobby attitude and treats the animals very badly such as snatching them up and pulling there ears and such (my dogs are like my kids and I was not happy at all with how she handled them). She also did not like it, when I would ask any questions about what she was saying. Plus the clinic could use a good cleaning and bleaching, I understand that its gonna smell, but it is pretty stinky in there. And don't ever be in a hurry when you call there office, your going to be on hold for a while. more
