Pretty Good 12/8/2005

Dim Sum at Marco Polo is pretty good. It took only a short wait to get seated and trays promptly arrived at our table. The food was good but could add more choices. It was nice and clean and the staff was very nice. I think it's a well organized operation. more

Dim Sum 8/23/2005

Dim Sum is a different style of serving your food. Instead of ordering what you want, the waiters push around carts with different foods on them and you pick whichever ones you like. If you don't see a particular dish you like, you can always ask a waiter to bring it out, because not everyone likes the specialties. It's great to eat when you have big parties. Be careful, though, because lunchtimes can get really busy and crowded. more

Good Dim Sum 8/15/2005

One of the 3 places in Austin to get dim sum. While not necessarily the best, it is up there. Marco Polo and T&S which is located on lamar near rundberg are arguably the two best dim sum locations in austin. By the way do not believe Marco Polo's advertising on TV, they are not, i repeat ARE NOT, open until 1am on thursdays and friday nights. I have tried going only to find the place closed. I called later to ask about their hours, and they confirmed that they were not opon that late. by the way it is connected to the hotel, so its a little easy to miss. when going s on 35, exit oltorf, take the first right, and itll be right there. more
