Marbo is absolutely the best of the beach Chinese restaurant!! Their Egg Foo Young is the best ever. Be sure to try the Mongolian chef who will stir fry anything you pick out. We go at least once every 10 days if not every week. Pros: Mongolian Grill after 3:30 Cons: We have to drive across Bay area to get there, but we go anyway more

As you can tell from my name, I love food!! I have recently moved from Cali about two monthes ago and have been trying out a few of the local Restaurants. Back home, we have this little hole in the wall we go to in Pasadena that my wife and I love. Since coming here, we tried a few places...Blah... until our neibour, Rose Vangh, raved about this place. Since trying it out a couple of weeks ago, we have been there five times since. Once you taste thier food, you can't stop craving it. The people are so nice and helpful. My daughter, a picky eater, was so happy they made a dish for her with all her favorite veggies. Everything is made from scratch!!! WOW!!! Claimed they were best in all of tampa bay by CITYSEARCH. Claimed 5 out of 5 stars. Claimed had mothers day special items to justify the $9 per person buffet.\r Nothing was special on buffet, sweet sour chicken was fried burnt, rice was hard and cold. Claimed to have ribs, was nothing but weird animal neck bones. The little bar where they cook some food for you that you put on plate was operated by a spanish guy, Hello, I wanted chinese food!!!\r Charged my 10 year old child $9 because she is taller then half their population!!!! We have a weekly appointment with great food. The dinner time Mongolian grill : choose from the raw bar... thinly sliced beef, pork, chicken and/or shrimp with wide range of veggies. add hot, sweet or mild sauce and the chef stir fries it to perfection.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Pros: ambience is usual Chinese, but exciting for kids; ample parking and superb service Cons: Mongolian grill should be at lunch time too... it is that good. more

Maybe I am tainted, I have lived in or around new york city for most of my life in addition to having Vietnamese and Chinese roomates all through college. Regardless, I found Marbo's food to be average for west coast of Florida and this is not saying much. The food is typical overly salted, excessively soft textured, tepidly warm buffet fare at best-even if you order off of the menu. The chocolate cake wasn't bad, but I wouldn't visit just for the cake. more

The only things that was a 10 about this place was the friendly, attentive waiter and the $7.95 price. Maybe I'm spoiled living in NYC, but the place was dumpy, which would be ok if the food was great, but it was not. Besides the soup and the ribs, the rest of the food was adequate at best, although to be fair, we did not try the moglian grill which might have been better because it's cooked to order right in front of you.
