I ordered some Hunter Douglass blinds from them- specifically Leslie Ross at Manhattan Shade- which cost me close to $1,450. The same shades were a bit less expensive at Janovic Plaza but as per Ms. Ross, her client service would be superior to that of Janovic's. This was completely untrue. The blinds were terrible and did not keep out the light as promised. They took the blinds back and promised me a refund. It has been two weeks and I still have not seen a refund. I had to send two emails and make yet another call to Manhattan Shade and i was told that their bookkeper has been on vacation and the bookkeeper is the only one in the whole store who can credit accounts!!! That is the most ridiculous policy I have ever heard. Ms. Ross did not apologize and constantly put me on hold while I was in the middle of speaking. The manager then picked up and told me they only credit people twice a month and I would have my credit tomorrow. You can imagine my surprise at hearing that miraculously by tomorrrow I would get my credit. This whole experience was absolutely unforgiveable and the service, or lack thereof, was completely inept.
