Manhattan mall 4/16/2006

Manhattan Mall has really decreased in its quality ever since 9/11. The top floor was being renovated the last time I was here. And there aren't that many stores to shop in. The only thing that's worth coming here for is the Christmas decorations; it's quite nice and I think they have a Santa every year. It's also a convenient food stop if you're shopping on 34th. But then again, if you're on 34th, there're tons of eateries out in the streets anyway. more

This city wasn't meant for Malls 3/24/2006

The Manhattan Mall is not a successful Mall, but there is a reason that it is called The Manhattan Mall and not "A" Manhattan mall. This city is too vertical to have malls inside buildings. New Yorkers walk down the street and can find whatever stores they need. Malls fulfill a city-like need in suburbia where stores would otherwise be dispersed and miles apart. In NYC, you don't want to be confined to a mall space, especially when that space contains emptiness that is mainly a waste of time. more

Manhattan Mall 3/24/2006

Probably one of the worst malls in New York if not the country. This store literally has nothing interesting or cool to offer in way of shops or events. The only good things about this mall is the free samples at the food court and the fact you can take the N or R train on the lower level. Take my advice. Skip the mall and head over to Macy's two blocks over instead. more
