Small portions, was with a group and they charged my card three times for each person, then don't answer the phone to correct the situation. Very disappointed. more

the best 3 meat lasagna! 11/3/2007

Located close to us - we have been regulars at Mama Mias. The new owners have expanded the menu and choices. Stone Mountain has a small town feeling and this restaurant is perfect and exactly what you would expect size and seating for a small town or village. Busy on weekends, friendly, and anxious to please. Parties 25 or more can actually get the whole place to themselves if planned well ahead. In fact, I planned a huge dinner this past summer for a family reunion we had at Stone Mountain Park. So accommodating and everyone enjoyed the family atmosphere and reasonable price. Some of the dishes they allow to 1/2 size for the smaller appetite. If you want upscale and pricey, go somewhere else. If you want small town, friendly and delicious food - this is the place. Pros: Great Italian food, consistant quality, friendly service, small town atmosphere. Cons: Can be crowded and noisy on weekends, but food and friendliness overcomes all. more

Mediocre food, overpriced, uncomfortably small seating area 6/6/2007

We have eaten there three times in the last year, because it's so convenient when we're hanging out on main street in Stone Mountain. And you can usually find a coupon for it in the entertainment book. In my experience, each visit is worse. The seating area is too small, but they try really hard with the ambience. I can appreciate the lovely murals, but it's hard to feel comfortable when people are bumping into you all the time. The menu is uninspired. Nothing is really fresh, the salads are sad oily wilted vegetables with too much vinegar on them, the pasta is overpriced for the size and ingredients of the dish, and the waitstaff could be a lot friendlier. I have not tried the pizza. Maybe it is delicious. Who knows. The last time we ate there, we both got sick to our stomachs on the way home. It might have been something else we ate earlier in the day, but all I know is that I will not be risking it again. Pros: Wide menu, convenient location Cons: overpriced, small portions, nothing really stands out, crowded more

Good food, but I only do take-out. The seating area is too small, and sometimes they will sit you at a table with strangers. Pros: good food Cons: too small, not enough seating more
