  • Malaya brings a little exotic flair to its upscale neighborhood and has become known throughout Buckhead & Atlanta area as a comfortable option for a change of pace. Squeezed into a strip mall, the dining room is small but accommodating, although many diners choose their specialties to go. The servers are enthusiastic and never shy about recommending dishes or helping to translate the menu. Malaya?s menu features a host of Malaysian and Chinese favorites, with great spicy noodle dishes alongside meat and seafood options. No other restaurant offers authentic Thai and Malaysian Chinese cuisine. Come check Malaya out in Atlanta on Collier Road. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Editorial
  • In Short
Aside from colorful batik tablecloths, the only hints of decor in this storefront restaurant are red paper lanterns and framed prints. The eclectic Asian menu features veggie-centric dishes, like the Achar, a spicy pickled salad and a spicy garlic eggplant. The Malayan soup and Kari Ayam Malaya, a chicken curry dish, share a sweet coconut sauce. The Sambal Udang, a shrimp and okra saute, will awaken your taste buds with a jolt of heat.
