Why Timberlakes 8/15/2005

I'm not sure why I like Timberlakes. The beer is a bit expensive for the decor, the selection is limited, the good food is limited to the delicious onion strings and croque monsieurs, and the jukebox is one of those horrid internet-based contraptions. But the service is charming and the bar is large and welcoming, and it seems full of long-time customers, so I can take comfort in the fact that I'm not alone in my affection. more

Good local restaurant 8/6/2005

This is an old fashioned hamburger joint that serves good food and has a very friendly staff. The steaks and salads are a good buy and quite good. The regulars here make you feel right at home. In the heart of Dupont Circle, this is the perfect place if you want a good meal and a good price and no frills. more
