Pleasant staff and very cheerful Dr. Schober; he is always upbeat and on top of things. And I can see really well!!!! Maybe not the least expensive optometry place, but definitely the one I would recommend. I have been a client for a very long time. more

I needed to get my eyes checked. I did not want to go back to the cattle call at one of the vision places in the mall. I picked this place and it was great! Romy was efficient and very nice. She started my visit and at the end made sure I had any information for rebates. Dr. Schober had me try several contacts and made absoluteley sure that I was comfortable in my lenses before I purchased them. Dr. Schober is a professional and a cool guy. He explains everything he is doing(unfortunately this is rare with healthcare professionals) and will answer any questions you might have. I have been getting vision exams for 20 years and I found out stuff no one had ever told me. I will definitely be going back and would reccommend this place!!! more

I have only been to Macadam Vision a few times but the times I have gone I have always been impressed. I leave feeling like I learned more about my eyes then I ever knew. I have had Dr. Bauer and Dr. Schober as doctors and they are both great and compiment each other very well. They spend a lot time explaining what each test they do means. I have never had to wait and everyone there makes you feel like they care. Always a pleasant experience. more

I have been with Macadam vision for many years after a referral from my sister. They are very through, friendly, and are committed to your needs. I went in a few weeks ago to see Dr. Bauer, with what I later found out was, ""vitreous detachment"" She diagnosis me and then called Dr.Schober to confirm with him and he came in on his day off to see for himself an make sure that him and Dr. Bauer were both in agreement to what was wrong with my eye. They called an got me in to see a colleague of theirs to make sure I had not torn the Retina. I have referred my son to them and he had been having problems for years. They were very patient with him in his decisions with contacts and glasses. I do not have medical insurance and they give me a 30% discount if I pay cash. Norma is wonderful in adjusting glasses and I can't imagine going anywhere else but here. If you want someone who really cares about your eyes and you, come check out Macadam Vision Clinic and you won't be sorry you did. more

My appt at Macadam Vision was actually a fun and learning experience-great staff and everything from insurance questions to procedural ones were all clearly laid out and answered. It's amazing how far eye exams have come since I was young (yes, its been a while). Dr. Schober is probably one of the most upbeat, fun, and professional doctors I've been to--I actually walked out with corrected vision, some knowledge, and a smile! The digital retinal exam is a MUST--no blurred vision, sensitivity to light, etc. I would highly reccommend this clinic and doctor. more

They have a two year warranty on the frames and lenses--unconditional. When I came back to pick up my glasses, they took the extra time to make them fit just right and comfortable. The doctors exam was so thorough unlike any place I've ever gone before. Macadam Vision came highly recommended by my friend and I wasn't disappointed. She has gone to them for 20 years and said that they have always been great. I will never go anywhere else, even if I don't have insurance. They are worth it. Pros: Very friendly and genuine Cons: can't think of any more

We all get our fill of iffy services and shoddy products; so much so that when we encounter something exceptional, it really stands out. Such is the case with an excellent experience I just had with the entire staff at Macadam Vision Clinic (Dr. Mauri Bauer, Norma and Stephanie). I decided to call Macadam Vision Clinic after a fairly negative experience at one of those "national chains" (not going into those details here). I spoke with Norma on the phone and she happily took the time to talk about my concerns and offering her insights. This initial positive experience was a huge confidence boost. That experience continued with Dr. Bauer. She took the time to listen and to understand my particular needs. Quite frankly, it was extraordinary by comparison. I didn't feel like I was being pressured by a time limit; or on some production line conveyor belt being sent from one computerized testing station to another. But before you assume that I'm crowing about good bedside manners (which I am), it actually made a more important difference ... I received the a prescription that fit my lifestyle. Stephanie was great in that she listened. I didn't get the "frame-of-the-week" pitch, but instead, I got the frames with the options that I actually wanted. And while I didn't do a line-by-line comparison of prices, a back of the napkin glance looks like Macadam Vision Clinic is priced competitively with the nationals. Who knew! Anyways... enough gooshing. Bottom line: Great People + Outstanding Service + Competitive Prices = Solid Recommendation. Pros: Great Cons: None more

Billed my insurance for services not rendered and then refused to cancel charges and proceeded to charge me personally for them. They are pushy with their sales. Dr. Schoeber is nice and all but business practices are unethical and not patient oreinted. Dr. Bauer is extremely rude and doesn't seem to care about her patients either. Beware and be careful....all about the money! Pros: location Cons: unethical, rude, salesmen, not trustworthy more

The contact that I gave his lab to be clean, was not the contact that I received back. It was a completely different contact. And although I am confident it was a complete accident, I was disappointed that I was required to purchase a replacement contact and pay the lab fee. I also felt like the office and the lab unfairly blamed me for the accident, by asking if I had mixed up my contact with a friend or relative. I felt betrayed that Dr. Schober assumed it was 100% my fault, and angry that I had to pay for a contact I felt was mixed up at their lab; while still paying the lab fee. I felt a fair compromise would be to reimburse me for the lab fee or replace the contact, not make me pay for both. Pros: friendly Cons: feel ripped off more
