When I bought my house in 1996, I said them I wanted to get rid of the carpet and go with hardwood flooring. Finally, in 2012 I did the project and am so glad I did. At the home show, I found Macadam Floor and Design. Their show discount to act in a short time frame was just what I needed to get me into action. But I didn't go with Macadam without doing my own research on them. The experience proved to be what I expected based on that research. I spent hours at their store laying samples out on the floor in the sun and shadows, walking on them to see how they felt, and bringing several home to see their fit in my home. They took care of me as their customer - working with the mfg to get me a better product at the same price when the product I had chosen was delayed making it not available on the day of scheduled pick-up, showing up when expected to do the install and putting in the long days to get the job done on schedule as we hit the unexpected glitches. I would highly recommend Zac as the best salesperson to work with and John the best installer to do the work. more

I recently bought some new blinds and I had such a wonderful experience. The installer was very professional, experienced and timely. I didn't end up getting other bids from different companies because my experience from the very beginning of the process was exactly what I was looking for. I will certainly return for any other home improvements that I need in the future. Thank you Jenny! more

THE BEST FLOORING STORE IN PORTLAND 6/28/2011

I highly recommend Macadam Floor And Design. At first when we walked in it seemed very overwhelming with so many product choices, but the team at Macadam Floor And Design seemed to have this emotional process down. Not only did they show me products that i had not seen at several other flooring stores, but the different install design options were the most impressive. We had no idea how confusing flooring could be, but thanks to Dave and Jenny, it could not have been a simpler process and the look we searched so long and hard for was just waiting for me at Macadam Floor And Design. I wasted so much time with the other companies and when it was all said and done, Macadam had the best pricing out of 4 stores. Take my advise, Macadam is the only flooring store you need to visit, I did the research for you. Ask for Dave or Jenny. Joe Clemson more
