Boiler Breakdown 3/24/2018

I called Macfarlane at 7AM because the boiler shut down at some point during the. night. Glenn arrived at my home in less then 30 minutes, identified the problem, and fixed it promptly. He is amazing! more

Darren C have serviced our heating system many times over the years. He is always careful, knowledgeable, courteous. This time was no exception. He was able to diagnose a problem that had eluded other people, fix it promptly, and he stayed extra time to make sure the fix actually worked. And he even took off his boots so as not to get our carpets wet! Really appreciated his consideration! more

Fixing furnace 12/8/2017

Tom came by and fixed our heater the day, which of course went out the day before the first snow of the year! He was punctual, efficiently friendly, and helped explain the issue to me in laymens terms. more

Excellent and professional 11/29/2017

John G and Jimmy M, did an excellent job with the installation of our new gas boiler system. I am very impressed with their care for detail. Installation took two days, but they were always on time and work the whole day to get the job done. They made sure that they had the right pieces, tested and made sure the installation was done as if this was their own home. MacFarlane has earned a new loyal customer. I will recommend them to all my neighbors. more

Resolved heating sometime not running problem 11/27/2017

Tony serviced my schedule oil heating tune-up this morning. The first thing he asked is whether I have noticed any heating problem. Well I do. He listened attentively as I told him that my heating sometime stopped working after I replacing the water in the boiler, and to get it working again is by making a hard knock on the drain pipe's housing (That's how MacFarlane's repairman finally got it working after I made an emergency call last winter). He then worked on the problem and did the service for 2.5 hours. Afterward, he explained that the problem is due to the built-up dirt in the housing that prevented the float from rising, and he took it apart and scrapped it clean. I have been with MacFarlane for 11 years. There were some good and some not so good service people over the years, but the service people in the last 3 years were very good to excellent. more

heating installation with Jimmy M and John G 11/3/2017

Clearly the A team. Pleasant, polite, respectful, efficient - made the whole process seamless for me. Came when they promised, came early in the morning and stayed the whole day (even brought their lunch so they didn't abandon everything at midday per the usual contractors around here), finished in the time they said, cleaned up after better than it was. Responsive to my questions and concerns, even asked where I wanted machinery placed and let me know when they were leaving for the day. Didn't tramp through my house and make a mess. They stayed to accept delivery of items even when a crazy storm created a power outage that held them up a day. They knew what they were doing and came to do it. And so far everything looks good and even works! Thanks guys! more

Scheduling home heater inspection was easy and date given was prompt. Al called when he was delayed by traffic and may not arrive at time scheduled. He soon arrived not to long after his call. he did the inspection of the heating system very efficiently, was polite and friendly. more
