Mod Squad Dental

This is the second time I have visited this office since my new patient appointment. I wanted to wait until I had work done with Dr. Friedman to post a review them. Amazing service thanks to quick, efficient, super friendly Doc and staff...Walking in, the atmosphere is so NOT like going to the dentist. I am very picky and I would recommend Doc Friedman to everybody! more

BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! SERIOUSLY...MOD Squad Dental deserves 10 Stars!! Where do I even start? The lobby has more comfortable chairs than my house. Heck... the lobby has more comfortable chairs than LA-Z-BOY! The only downside was that I didn't get more than a couple minutes in the chair because they were so prompt that they took me right back for my cleaning with no wait. They probably don't want to leave you in the lobby that long because the chairs are so comfy you might fall asleep. So there I was... Admiring the amazing decor in the office on my walk to my chair...OH WAIT....what's that wonderful smell?!?! Oh... It's fresh baking bread. I don't think I've ever been to a dental office with such an amazing aroma. I've even been in bakeries that didn't smell this good! I get to my chair which is basically my own private room. You don't have to have other patients watch you get a cleaning. You get the utmost privacy. The room came equipped with its own DirecTV enabled flat screen on ceiling and my own remote. Was able to watch TV during my cleaning. AMAZING! The dental chair came equipped with a back massager (with remote) and a heated neck pillow. I felt like I was at the Ritz. Amy the hygienist was absolutely amazing. The most gentle touch on the best cleaning I ever had!! After the cleaning they handed me a heated towelette to wipe my face. WOW! Dr. Friedman was great!! Extremely nice. Great sense of humor. Very informative. Was able to tell me exactly what needed to be done for a slight orthodontic adjustment I requested. Jessica the office manager was wonderful as well. Made sure the whole experience was awesome. This was my first trip here and I will be back!! I highly recommend MOD Squad Dental. You will not regret going here! more

I went to MOD squad dental for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Dr. Greg was very personable, as well as, the other staff. Both Michelle's were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what they were doing. I also appreciated all of the state-of-the art dental techniques. I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the conversations, neck warmer and message chair. I highly recommend them! more

I think Mod Squad dental is AWESOME! I've not had good luck with dentists in San Diego County and got a referral from a friend to Mod Squad Dental. Dr. Friedman is gentle (no torture devices thus far!), does only the work that needs to be done (refreshing!) and I've never had any pain after a procedure. Jess and the rest of the office staff are super friendly and fun and have provided me with above and beyond super customer service. No matter where I move in the county, I will be making the trek to Mod Squad when dental work is needed. If you need work done, get it done right with them the first time, instead of getting past work fixed like I have to! more

I absolutely love this place. From the cleanliness of the dental office to the ability of each team member to make you feel welcome and important. I can't rave about this place enough. Judy and Jessica are always smiling and friendly as they greet every client, and ensure that each aspect of visiting the dentist is easy and fun. Dr. Friedman is awesome and has an extraordinary ability to make you feel comfortable and etertained while he is examing your teeth. I've had cavities that need to be filled in addition to other heavy dental work, and I can honestly say, it was one of the most painless experiences I have had at the dentist ever. You honestly get what you pay for at this dental office, and that's a first-class experience with an immeculate office, a professional staff and a good time with people you meet as a dental staff and leave as friends. more

I love MOD Squad dental! Needed a lot of dental work done, and I went to several other local dentist. MOD Squad Dental was by far the best. I needed both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry due to NOT going to the dentist for many many many years! Usually my dental visits have been very unpleasant in the past. Not at Mod Squad Dental! Dr. Friedman is very knowledgeable, and also very gentle. The staff is super!! Very friendly! They didn't bombard me with a monstrous quote like a few others! Visited this dental office today because my best friend referred me. First of all, great contemporary office. Furniture is very cool and the latte/refreshment bar is super chic. Judy at the front desk was very welcoming when I entered and knew my name which is great considering I work with the public all day every day and customer service to me is a must. She already had all my new patient paperwork as I was able to sent it in days before from their website. Jessica took me back right away and began taking some photos. This was cool because when we walked back to the dental room, my pictures were already on the screen. I asked how, in shock, and she mentioned it downloaded the pics wireless. Very cool. She began asking me questions, and actually listening to my ideas and my fears of my teeth and why I had not been to the dentist in may years. We discussed cosmetic changes that I wanted for myself. Jessica then mentioned that was the "easy' part. She mentioned getting my teeth and gums healthy first. Doc came in for my exam, very quick and painless. He showed me some pictures of my teeth on the TV using this little wand thing. He treatment planned some cavities for me and then I got my teeth cleaned right after with Michelle. She was great!! She is also a Duck fan :P Very painless cleaning, unlike my other cleanings before. Sounds silly but I was actually flossing wrong. Who knew. Jessica had my treatment plan ready when I walked up. She checked me out for the day and scheduled my next 2 visits all in her room. Very cool office and technology. If you do not love your dentist......You need to go see Dr. Friedman and the Mod Squad gals. Thanks guys! more

I love this dental office. I have been to 3 in Scripps Ranch before I found Dr. Friedman and Mod Squad Dental. They are so sweet and I actually look forward to my cleaning appointments which I hated before. They have the luxuries of a spa from massaging dental chairs to warm neck pillows and blankets. I particularly do not like the sound of the dental drill. No problem for this office. They gave me these cool Bose headsets with an I-pod. I got to pick my own flavor of music and could not hear the drill at all. Dr. Friedman has the most up dated dental equipment. He has a little wand that takes close up pics of my teeth so I can see vs. me trying to look in this little hand-held mirror. And lets just talk about "shots" NO ONE likes shots but I have to admit, I did not even feel it when Doc gave me one for my cavity. He used this computer thing and I barely felt it. So nice and took the edge off. Thank you to everyone at this office for allowing me to now LOVE the dentist. more

First, things first.To me pain is important. Every time i go to the Dentist. I am in pain for at least a week or more(my teeth have hurt for yrs.) So i decided to try a new dentist. Boy, was i surprised and delighted.The staff is the most professional and knowledgeable to deal with. I felt after a visit that they really cared about me and all my dental needs/ asked question and even listened to my concerns. Dr. Friedman, saved one of my teeth after other,s would not even try. and number one, as i have stated no pain.This has been a good experience and I look forward to going to the dentist.( did i just say that!) thanks again to Dr Friedman and his wonderful staff. There is nothing but excellent comments I can make about this office. I absolutely hated going to the dentist. I'm not a big needle fan and I just do not like someone in my "close space". From the moment I walked in, Judy, at the front desk was so friendly & offered me a latte or bottled water. May I add that she knew my name! This was impressive to me because I had never been here before. I was able to fill out all my paperwork in the comfort of my home before my appointment. Awesome! No waiting! Jessica then came and got me for my photo shoot. She took several photos of my teeth & immediately reviewed them with me on the TV screen. Cool! She showed me some areas of my current old silver fillings that were cracked and one was actually bothering me. She explained the steps of toothaches to me and it actually made sense. Doc Friedman then came in for my exam. He was very detailed in explaining to me everything he was doing. He even did an oral cancer thingy that my old office never did. He told me of some silver fillings that needed to be replaced but also some that were just fine. Yes, my silver were fine! I saw Michelle right after for my cleaning and I actually laughed with her much of the appointment, changing my idea of dentists FOREVER! I LOVE THIS PLACE AND WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS! more

Well from the moment I walked into the door, the receptionist knew me by name. Dr. Friedman and Jessica were very informative about my situation and my concerns. Jessica knew right away that I would be a great candidate for sleep dentistry. I have always had a fear of going to the dentist, but sleep dentistry, I woke up and it was all over with. No pain, no anxiety, no worries. It was everything I could have wanted in finding a new dental home. ALL of the team included Mrs. Wanda, she cleaned my teeth, were so funny and made me feel very comfortable right from the first visit. I have referred several family and friends and will continue to do so. Thank you Dr. Friedman and your wonderful staff for changing my idea of dentists FOREVER!!! more
