SERVES LEFTOVERS WHEN THEY OPEN 10/1/2011

I will never return to this restuarant. I decided to pick up something to eat when they opened for the day. I decided to order the chicken. Worst mistake, the server took out a piece of chicken that was wrapped in plastic (this should have been a red flag) and proceeded to cut it up and place it in the take out container. The chicken was dry to the bone, the broccoli/rice casserole was watery. I was being served leftovers, unbelievable...I was disatisfied with the whole meal. I guess I will stick with Pappas BBQ down the street! If you decide to go to Lyndens, don't go when they first open for the day, go for dinner!!! more

Went here w 2 :Houstonians who thought their sauce and brisket was the best they've ever had-i couldn't disagree. more

Bone Dry Beef 5/21/2009

I have eaten here often but this will be my last time. The beef must have been sitting there over a day it was so hard and dry. Service is uninterested and unfriendly. New building is nice but it does not compensate for bad service and bad food. Has this place changed ownership or has the owner just lost interest? Pros: Cole Slaw is good Cons: Beef is ""day old"" dry and must be drowned in sauce more

Lyndon's Has Moved 2/3/2009

It is now on Hollister. Took the family tonight and wasn't very impressed. We're spoiled because my son -in - law does a better pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. I don't understand all the raving over the sauce either. We didn't try the cobbler because it appeared doubtful that it was homemade. Pros: Large portions and good prices Cons: Meats were overcooked more

Best Pulled Pork South of Memphis 3/15/2008

As a guy from Memphis where Porky's BBQ set the standard for pulled pork BBQ, Lyndon's has set the standard in Texas. I live in Friendswood and make the trip usually to buy their BBQ sauce by the gallon to make my own pulled pork at home and everyone loves it. Hell, you could put that sauce on cardboard and everyone would love it. At the restaurant, the service and food are consistently excellent. The restaurant crowd in not your typical BBQ joint crowd found in Houston. This place would probably be even more successful if it were in mid-town or the Galleria, the product is that high-end. Pros: Best Pulled Pork I've eaten since leaving Memphis, great onion rings ans teh stuffed potatoes are deadly for a skinny guy like me Cons: Not another location on the south side of town. more

Best BBQ in the NW Houston AREA - Family Owned and Operated 11/6/2006

Excellent food - the ingredients are fresh and the bbq sauce is friggin' magnificent. They serve more than ample portions (remember folks - the US uses double-triple portions, remember??) and they play classic country so bring your nostalgia for Patsy and Hank. As a former resident of the area, I now drive 50 miles each way from Clear Lake just to enjoy their tasty dishes. I highly recommed you give it a try, they have something for everyone, including the fresh baked pies and cookies for after wards. (Also - they do serve beer for you thirsty folks - in addition to sodas and tea). Pros: Inexpensive, Parking, Service Cons: Always Busy - but that's great, right? more

It's all in their bbq sauce 1/14/2006

Expensive. 3 onion rings for 2.00. I have eaten much better barbecue where they don't penny anny you to death. They are very chincy on their meat and weigh everything. I do love their bbq sauce. I go there to buy the sauce and take it to my favorite bbq place and use it. Hey, works for me. They play this really old country music and it does not digest well with the meal. I live near there and eaten there about 6 times. I gave them a chan Pros: bbq sauce, onion rings, pickle bar Cons: expensive, horrible music, not enough food more

Smoke Out 10/21/2005

Excellent Bar-B-Q!! 8/22/2004

My company moved out to this area 2 yrs ago and we found this gem. The pulled pork is very tender along with the pork loin. The chicken and sausage are also very tender and have a good smoked flavor to them. The potato salad is the best of any place i have ever had it at, I would go just for it. If you get the onion rings, get a small order...they are gigantic. Pros: cheap, fast, great food more

Lyndon's 6/16/2004

The best sausage in Houston. I use them for catering as well. Always on time, excellent service. All meats are smoked on site and are out of this world flavor wise. Great beans also. Pros: Inexpensive, Fast Service more

big meaty suckers! But I really love the pulled pork. Lyndon's is one of the very few in the city that offer pulled pork and it is delicious! You'll like the side orders as well, all from old family recipes and made from scratch..nice people too! more
