Luxe Salon

I have been visiting the salon for a while now and they recently moved across the street from a location that they were in for almost 10 years. My stylist is still fabulous and this is not a negative review for her or the work they do, but the vibe in the new salon is almost scary. Pros: Stylists are very knowledgable and extremely skilled. Cons: Uncomfortable atmosphere, very crowded and front desk not friendly. more

George was recommended to my by a good friend after I had a terrible butcher job from a previous stylist. George took the horrible cut and turned it into a fabulous trendy bob! He always has wonderful suggestions for cuts and color that work for you and your lifestyle. As long as George is around I will never trust anyone else with my hair! more

One of the biggest sources of stress in a new town can be finding a new hair place (it's true). Appointments are attainable, stylists are dependable, and talented. Because of the great cut and color I get from Jody, people stop me on the street and ask me where I get my hair done. I have board straight, long (boring?) hair, and Jody has created peace with it. The highlinghts last for 3-4 months and when getting it cut, I give him guidelines, not specifics. It is worth trusting people who do hair for a living. Bangs trims are every 3 weeks and free. Parking is usually not a problem, and the gatekeepers will make change for the parking meter. The art changes every few months and is a source of conversation. I started going to Luxe Salon a little over a year ago when I moved to Denver. I found it online and after reading several positive reviews I made an appointment with George Arias. He and I are an absolute match made in Heaven! He is so knowledgable about different hair types and styles. To say that I am picky about my hair is putting it very nicely and not once have I had a complaint after walking out of a salon visit with George. He took me from a very long style below the shoulders to the most fabulous short cut! I trust his opinion and he's always up on the latest hairstyle trends which is important to me. If you're searching for a stylist that will give you the same great consistent results every time, look no further than George. I've been going to Luxe since it opened and often taken whoever was available to cut/ color my hair because the results have always been good. For the past two years or so, however, I've been consistently booking George Arias because of the extra good results. He has many years of experience, remembers my idiosyncracies and helped me move from long and tired to short and stylish this past June - a leap of faith not easily made but I haven't regretted it once. I asked him to decide on the cut based on my hair type and he delivered! I recommend him highly. If you're lucky you can see his art on the walls, as well (his alter ego is as fine artist). I recently moved to Denver from New York and after having several bad experiences in Denver, I decided to try George at Luxe. He came recommended by a friend. What a pleasant time! He took the time to give me the best consultation I ever had and after coming to an understanding, he proceeded to deliver the goods and then some. Great color and cut! Pros: He is always punctual, taking care of small details like helping you feed the meter. Cons: Metered street parking or Garage parking only. more

My schedule is crazy and I can't really set an appointment...but lucky me, that means I can go to whatever stylist has time to fit me in, and EVERY one that I've been to has been amazing! Jody is a master, Sherry gives an amazing cut and great color, Sasha loves fun styles, Andrea, Dawn and I could go on and on.....it doesn't matter who you see here, you will be nothing but thrilled! Pros: every stylist can do something great for you! Cons: sometimes it can get a little warm in the salon in the summer, but when my hair looks great, who cares? more

I went to Luxe with shoulder length hair and came out of there looking like a suburban soccer mom! I am SOOO disappointed with my haircut. I actually had to go back for a re-do b/c it was so uneven. I read all of the reviews and thought I was going to someone really skilled, but I wonder if I caught her on a bad day. All I know is that now I'm left looking and feeling horribly, until this grows out! more

bah bah scotty, have you any wool....for real, I have the wooliest hair in the world (and I'm balding) so I have pretty much the hardest hair to cut on the planet. She does all the right things for a man's haircut though, neck is sharp ect....and if she can cut my hair, she can cut anyones hair in the world, and make it fresh. more

I have lived in Arvada for almost a year. I have experienced different hair stylists around, but not one like SHERRY at LUXE SALON! She is very professional as well as up on the latest trends and products. I trusted Sherry to cut my hair from my shoulders up to my chin, color it and give me a brow tint/shape. I totally recommend her to those out there that want a ""leave the salon looking like a million bucks"" feeling. Oh and if you view her on their website, her picture doesn't do her justice.....she is so adorable and personable. Thanks Sherry for the great summer do! I LOVE IT! After reading so many great reviews about this place i decided to make an appointment i was a little scared coming from california i really expected way more... come to find everyone here is so stuck-up and in a crappy mood it made it a bad start it's like come on your in Denver not Beverly Hills people. second, the stylist was supposed to be very knowledgeable in trendy cuts she studied in ""New York"" i was told oh my gosh poor girl was like shaking throughout the cut and the color i took in a picture of what i wanted total disaster!!! she ruined my hair. more

I have been going to Luxe for several years, seeing Sherry and I love her and the salon! I tried many other places in Denver and this is by far my favorite, mainly because the quality of services and attention I get is high, yet the prices are relatively reasonable. I was so fed up with my hair (baby fine, straight) when I first switched to Luxe that I was getting desperate. I think Sherry had just started working there and I was a little hesitant but all of their stylists are so well trained that her ""newness"" didn't even seem to matter! Keep in mind your price depends on what stylist you see - I can get a cut and partial foil for under $100, which is cheaper than any other ""quality"" salon I have ever been to. I have never had any trouble with having to wait or my stylist running on time, either, but I would assume that might also depend on the actual stylist. The salon is super clean and cute with local art on the walls, and the people who work there are always friendly and welcoming when I go in. I have been getting cuts and color there for several years and my eyebrows waxed and have never been unhappy when I left - I will definitely keep going as long as Sherry keeps working there! Pros: small, friendly salon, reasonable prices for quality and location/atmosphere Cons: *sometimes* front desk girls are a little snooty more

Luxe is a nice salon, but really, I go only to see Sherry. She's the best I've found and Denver - and trust me I have searched all over Denver in the past 3 years (south Denver, the burbs, downtown - everywhere) Sherry has been the only one that actually does what I want and does it well. She's awesome at color and cuts. I even trusted her to chop off my LONG hair to a cute bob. I love it!!!! Pros: Sherry, good products Cons: none that I can think of more

I just moved from San Diego to Colorado Springs and was searching for a great place to get my hair done. Didn't find it in the springs but found a great place at Luxe! I went to Kelli for hair color and cut and was very impressed. Pros: Great part of town,friendly staff, great products Cons: Feels a bit cramped more

I have been going to Luxe (Dawn and Andrea) for five years and they are both exceptional stylists, especially when it comes to hair color. I moved to the suburbs and tried some highly recommended salons in my area, but each time I've gone back to Luxe to correct the coloring mistakes those others made. If you want top-notch, natural looking hair color, definitely visit either of them. Also, in the five years I've gone to Luxe, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. They've even accommodated me when I've been late. I used to live in a large city and could only get a mediocre color & cut for a higher price than it costs at Luxe. If you want to look like you have an expensive, high-quality cut, I recommend Dawn and Andrea. more

I am a girl who has been unhappy with her hair for so long, Three years ago I moved to Denver and it must have been fate because I found LUXE and I have never been happier with my hairdresser, and most of all my hair. I have the loveliest hair now and it is so much healthier since I've been a customer at LUXE. They never do anything I don?t ask for and I always leave happy. I have platinum blonde hair and I actually get compliments on how HEALTHY and SHINEY it looks!! People ask me if it?s my hair. It's mildly annoying to have people think my hair is too perfect to be real! I'm always like ""you HAVE to try LUXE"". I may never be able to leave Denver because I?m not sure I can go on without LUXE in my life. I agree with the previous review that Luxe has a factory atmosphere. Be prepared to wait, be ignored and wait some more. After a 1.5 years of giving Luxe my money, I won't be going back. Pros: convenient lodo location Cons: double booking more

Usually I hate getting my hair cut but that wasn't the case when I visited Luxe. My stylist Ashley did a great job. She understood my hair texture, face shape, and even offered some helpful suggestions. She was very friendly, upbeat and never once made me feel uncomfortable. I will be back! I had a hair cut and color in September with Dawn. She was great and gave me wonderful tips . Many people loved my new do ! I live in the springs and is willing to drive to Denver to get my hair done by Dawn. Will be coming back to see her next week . more
