Best

We went here after an early concert at Carnegie Hall, based entirely on the review we read here, and we were not dissapointed at all. The pzza is the best we have had anywhere in ...

Worst

I got the order on time, but the food wasn't great, or even good, and they forgot the cheese on my garlic bread.

They're pasta and cheesy garlic bread is, as always, delicious. And fast! Always delivered hot! more

JUST PLAIN RIDICULOUS 11/12/2010

I've had lots of bad restaurant experiences before but I never felt the need to create a account just to let people know how HORRIBLE a place was. I ordered Luigi's one other time before this incident and I thought it wasn't bad. I had soup and I enjoyed it, two days later I decided to have the same Soup, Pasta and Tiramisu for lunch. The order did arrive in a timely manner I started with the pasta that had no flavor what so ever, the soup that wasn't any better but the kicker was my FROZEN TIRAMISU. I called Luigi's back to inform them and I was told ""PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE""!!!!!. Now I can deal with the food being mediocre I just wouldn't go back. But to just be that rude and not give two shi*s that you just served FROZEN FOOD to someone blew my mind, after about 10mins of the back and forth I finally got them to give me a refund. Even the delivery guy was an ass. After I gave him the dessert instead of just giving me my money back and going on his way I had to engage him in why I wasn't happy with the FROZEN TIRAMISU. A Tip to Luigi's: Microwave and Tiramisu should NEVER be used in the same sentence ;-) more

HORRIBLE 6/13/2008

I ordered a few pizzas for a business meeting I placed the order a week ahead of time & asked that the pies be delivered no later then 11:45. I called them at 11:45 and they said ""they were on their way"". The pizzas arrived 45 minutes late ? no apologies. When I asked for a partial discount or perhaps a free pie the next time around, the manager was downright rude. He said to send the pizzas back but I wouldn?t get a refund. He didn?t apologize or go out of his way to make things right. Cons: horrible mgmt & service more

Mediocre food and rude service 5/5/2008

This place used to be good but the food has gone down since they moved locations. The servers are also very rude. more

Very Good Food! 3/8/2008

We went here after an early concert at Carnegie Hall, based entirely on the review we read here, and we were not dissapointed at all. The pzza is the best we have had anywhere in a long time. The Shrimp Parm, and the Eggplant Parm were plentiful with a sauce to die for. It is small, but the food is GREAT! Pros: a good variety to choose from, sandwiches, salad and dinners Cons: small, and limited seating more

New Yorks Finest 7/5/2006

Everytime I go to New York I have to stop at Luigi's. It's definitley one of New York's underrated places. It's the best pizza I've ever gotten in New York. Pros: Food, Service more

Greatest pizza find in New York hands down! 6/7/2005

We literally stumbled on Luigi's trying to find the Letterman Studio's. This was our first meal in New York and hands down was the best pizza find of them all. We tried all the pizza places locals and books recommended, but none could touch Luigi's. The staff were not very friendly, but with food like that, who cares! It's worth going back to New York just for their pizza! Pros: Food, Price, Location Cons: Service, Unfriendly more

GREAT FOOD - GOOD VALUE! 6/15/2004

This place is a real find. Although you may have to wait for a seat, the genuine Italian food is well worth the wait. The portions are large, and can be easily split between 2 or more people. Luigi's is a real value and a true find for midtown. Pros: Good Food, Inexpensive more

Best Garlic Knots 4/23/2003

Prices are way too high for take out. $10.25 for Chicken Parm Dinner that was horrible and you can get better in the hood for $7.25. However, they have the best garlic knots in Manhattan. more

Chicken Salad is Amazing! 10/7/2002

A pizzeria with relatively plain decor and too few tables (good luck getting a seat anywhere around 1PM on a weekday...). This does not detract from the food, which so far has been great! The pizza is decent, but their modestly priced chicken salad is to die for. Get the small size and save a buck, since the large really doesn't give you a much bigger portion. Very pleased with this place. Kinda miss not working nearby and being part of the regular lunch crowd. Pros: inexpensive Cons: crowded more
