This is a family owned bakery that has coffee cakes and pastries to die for. Prices are not cheap but you get quality goods.

Worst

Seriously - the cakes may look prettier - but what a waste of money! The two cakes I bought were dry and bland, what a disappointment after hearing all the hype about this place!

Awesome 1/22/2009

Lubeley's Bakery is awesome!! I was just there today and had lunch in their new dining area. The chicken salad is the best in town! My family has been going to Lubeley's for over 20 years. My wedding cake was absolutley beautiful.and tasted great. I do not know what the other negative reviews are talking about. They must be confused with McCarther's. more

After reading the reviews by Sarah S and April P, who by the way have felt it necessary to review everything from their vet to their garbage men, I was shocked! Too dry?... If you want your doughnut floating in a bowl of water go to MacArthurs! These 2 women are obviously not original St. Louisans. If they were they would appreciate the buttery-soft, flaky texture of a fresh baked Lubeley's pastry... Stick to the west county Schnucks girls...\r \r Enough of that.. lets move on.. In short, after you try Lubeley's you wont even want to buy bread at the grocery store much less a birthday cake or pastries. This is definitely my all-time favorite St. Louis bakery! Its been there for 70 years! They're doing something right! more

My family has been going to Lubeley's for years. I highly reccommend any of the iced cookies and my favorite are the fudgies and cinnamon crunch stollens! So delicious! more

Wonderful Cakes 12/9/2006

Just was there this weekend and purchase a Chocolate Chocolate Torte cake. My company raved about it. Never had a bad cake. The selection is good and they are very reasonably priced. Won't break the bank. Can't wait to try another one. more

The donuts at Lubeley's are not the best I've ever tasted. They were kind of dry and did not keep real well, but the cakes are superb. They have many decorative designs to choose from for birthday cakes and the prices are reasonable. They also have a deli with some sandwiches and pasta salads for lunch, along with a small eating area. more

I don't think Lubeley's is the best in town. They do have interested fresh fruit specials during the year but most of their pastries are just too dry for my taste. They are standard St. Louis fare. PROS: Good specials CONS: run of the mill more

Excellent place to go for wedding cake 7/10/2006

The staff here is very friendly. They will work with you to design the perfect cake for your wedding theme. They are happy to take the time to help you design exactly what you want. The cake is delicious also. more
