good food, disappointing service 8/5/2007

Lulu's is located on S. Craig street, amongst a litany of other restaurants. Pros: pretty good food, not too expensive Cons: slow service more

Fashionable Pan-Asian 11/7/2006

This is a nice example of high quality Pan-Asian cuisine. The food is fresh, and there is a concerted effort to infuse different interesting flavors within traditional dishes. But this is not for those looking for high quality Asian cuisine, which perfects the basics according to tried and true recipes. In particular I found the won tons and spicy chicken dishes to be quite disappointing. The restaurant has a noisy, but charming, atmosphere with courteous and quick service. more

best noodles, ever. 9/23/2006

Oh lulu's, how I love thee...I have yet to be let down by the staff, the food or the company. I don't imagine I ever will be. Where else can one get such an amazing amount of fantastic food for so little. I'll tell you: Nowhere. Pros: wonderful food, fantastic service, great value and friendly atmosphere Cons: there is only one lulu's more

Amazing Options 5/24/2006

I've been eating at Lu Lu's Noodle for about 7 years now and have yet to be disappointed with the food. There are few other restaurants in this area of the city that compare to catering to the vegetarian crowd as well as meat eaters. Great value as you can usually get 2 meals out of one order. I have eaten there casually as well as had business lunches there. Not the most romantic setting, but if you want good food on a budget, you must consider eating here. The service isn't the greatest, but it doesn't profess to be. If you want gourmet atmosphere, go somewhere else and pay twice as much. Pros: inexpensive, large menu, vegetarian friendly Cons: gets loud when full, always busy, slack table service more

Horrible service 4/3/2006

I've been to lu lu's twice each time I had to get up and get a waitress because know one came to take our orders, and we sat there for a very long long time.We Didn't receive any silver ware or napkins ,the family at the table next to us gave us their forks ,they used chop sticks and we did'nt get offered refills, because the waitress never came to the table until the end to give us the bill.the story is a lot worst than what you have read ,just can't write it all. Will never return again ,do not recommend at all. Pros: good food Cons: Bad service more

Good food but 1/13/2006

I love going to LuLu's, the food is very good and the menu is imaginative, I just wish they would improve the decor and I wish the wait staff was just a little friendlier and acknowledged you, even if they are busy when you come in. Pros: Good food, Imaginative Menu, Service Cons: Decor too industrial, Staff doesn't smile more

Quick cheap meal 6/6/2005

Lu Lu's is good at what they do, providing a diverse menu of affordable noodle dishes. While I have had some good meals, they have also been offset by some inconsistency in food quality. Given this is a low cost meal, it is a good value. Like the food, I have experienced inconsistent service. Atmosphere is enjoyable with a college feel. Pros: atmosphere, quick meal, cheap prices Cons: food quality more

Vegetarians check it out! 3/27/2004

Lulu's is the best cheap Asian restaurant a vegetarian could hope for. There is vegetarian sweet and sour soup, which we've never seen anywhere else, vegetarian eggrolls, wontons, and about three fourths of the menu can be made for vegetarians. Plus the green tea ice cream is to die for. One of my favorite restaurants! more

best food/worst service 2/6/2003

the staff seem almost uninterested in waiting on you. the food is most amazing, though. the best thing i can sugguest is call ahead for takeout and dont be in a hurry. it is such a shame the service is so awful because the resturant is located in such a busy area they really could improve their profits by improving the staff speed. Pros: great food Cons: worst service more

dear jesus can we just order? 12/18/2002

The food is pretty good, but the agonizing wait to even order it is not worth it. If the waitress doesn't feel like seating people...she won't. If she doesn't feel like taking an order...she'll disappear. I've probably been there 8 times (close to home), and I have left 4 times without even being seated. 10 minutes when there are empty tables all over the place? Forget it, the food is too greasy to be healthy anyway more

fresh & flavorful 12/5/2002

My wife & I have eaten at lu-lu's often. In fact, one week we had dinner three nights in a row. The food is excellent, fresh, flavorful, and there is enough of a variety to keep people coming back...like us! No other Asian restuarant in the area compares, at least that I've been to. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan bordering on trendy, and diners range from university-types to neighborhood regulars. Pros: great value, variety of food Cons: parking more

Will nmever go To LU LU's Again 6/9/2002

Someone gave me a gift certificate for $20 and the final bill was 15.35 and they (Lu Lu's) refused to give me the change and said -- ""We dont give change from a gift certificate""-- ------------i then said i wanted to take out 2 soups to put on the check and they would not let me do it, said i would have to start another check-------- if Lu Lu's is this cheap giving change from a gift certificate (i never heard of such a thing--it may not even be legal) , we may be getting shortchanged on overall food quality in a very big way---------I WILL NEVER EAT AT LU LU's ever again... more
