totally dissapointed I am trying to save all you brides out there who are thinking of choosing the LA CASTLE . If you think this is a dream come true doesnmore

I was a bride at Louisiana Castle on June 14th, 2012. It rained on my wedding day and my ceremony was pushed back an hour. You would think that it would also push back my reception, but it did not. My ceremony was held in front of food in the ballroom.(Most distasteful!) Everyone, except for the director, was the most unproffessional and rude staff I've ever met. I had until 11p.m at least and they kicked everyone out in a rude manner at 10:40p.m. They told my family that they could not go home until they ""got out."" It was supposed to be my day, not theirs. I don't care if you get tired and want to go home, my family traveled from all around the country to see me! My memories of my wedding day will be met with anger for this place and sheer disappointment. The food was most certainly pulled out of boxes and bags. (mainly the Betty Crocker ""potato gratin"") Food is my business and what I received on my wedding day was a disgrace! The only thing I was not disappointed by were my flowers, the man I married and the good company of close family and friends who traveled far and wide to witness a memorable occassion. I know I deserved beter than what I received and payed for! more

My Husband and I got married at the Castle in January of this Year, it was the happiest day in my life. The staff was Outstanding from the beginning Mrs Dolly & Mr Steve they make sure everything you want and need is available to you. They treat you like you are a part of their family almost like it is your Castle. The Castle is a Fairy Tale the Beauty it is a Perfect Place. The price doesnt compare to not even one second of everything that they will do for you. Mrs Mary I wish I could take her home in my pocket she is so kind and knowledgable, she is the best anything I needed she was there through it all. The Best Place EVER I would Love to go back and do it again. more

My daughter got married on April 29, 2011 the same day as the Royal couple. The staff at the Castle made us feel like we were Royalty. I could not have asked for a better place to enjoy my daughters special day. The Castle is beautiful and so are the grounds. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff made the day stress free from my daughter and myself. Our guest could not get over how unique the Castle is. Thank you for making this experience truley magnificent. more

i attended a wedding there about a year ago. I was not impressed with this place. The wedding and grooms cake was nasty and dry...after the wedding on the grounds as the guest were making there way to the reception two dogs were released onto the grounds in which the person going after them thought it was funny...this was not funny to me and the food was not good. I was very disappointed to have heard so many positive things about this place and i did not see anything worth the money they charge. more

I had my daughters wedding at the castle on April 18, 2009 and could not have been more pleased with the way things turned out. Dolly was always available for me to speak to and really bent over backwards to make my daughters day what she always dreamed it would be. As a matter of fact during the reception my daughter came up to me and thanked me and said that her wedding was everything she had ever dreamed it to be and better. I am a very picky person ( some would say obsessive compulsive ) I was going to hire an outside caterer and Dolly asked why and I told her after going to the open house there were some foods I didn't care for and believe it or not I provided her and Mary with my own family recipes which they prepared and it was great . I got nothing but compliments from the guests about the food and how lovely the castle was and how nice the whole wedding was. The dj did a great job and Mrs Viola (the lady who makes the cakes is great to. The cake was delicious and beautiful. If you can dream it up she can make it a reality. The staff met me at the door and toke care of everything . They even washed my daughters toasting glasses repacked them and helped us loadup when the event was over. I would not hesitate to recommend the castle to anyone and have. 3 of my business contacts have scheduled weddings there since attending my daughters. I really cannot say enough good things about the castle or the staff. Very professional and friendly and accomodating. They truly went above and beyond!! My wife and I were married at the Louisiana Castle last October. She had always dreamed of a fairytale wedding, I could not wait to show her this place when I found it online. When I saw her face as she looked at the website I was sure this is were we were getting married. After going out and seeing it in person and meeting with the manager we were even more impressed, the website doesn't do this place justice! We planned this wedding from a distance so we were unable to return the the Castle again until our wedding. we were able to work with Dolly and Mary over the phone and take care of every little detail for our wedding. We even used there florist from the castle so we really had no worries other than remembering our vows! To wrap things up the staff, food, flowers were great and really helped us achieve our fairy tale wedding! Pros: Great Food! more

We had our Wedding at Louisiana Castle and it was absolutely superb. The staff was super attentive, food was fantastic, management spent hours of time with us to make sure that every detail was done to perfection (and it was), and the ambiance was first rate. We have been to many other reception facilities but feel like this venue far surpasses any other we have had the pleasure of visiting. Pros: Mary and her staff more

My husband and I were married on Halloween evening and we had a private costume Halloween party at The Castle after our church ceremony and formal wedding reception. The staff decorated The Castle with Halloween decorations and we had a wonderful time. Our 85 guests all came in costume and everything was great. The food was good, the cake was made to look like a haunted castle, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed our wedding night and had the whole Castle to ourselves including the jacuzzi tub outside on the deck. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend The Castle, as you will never find a more unique and special venue for your wedding event. I was married at the castle in September 2009. The food, staff etc were kind and considerate. And while a times i felt like somethings could have been done in a little bit more organized way so guests would know what was going on, my husband, family and friends had a great time. Prior to the wedding we had a reception because we had quite a few out of town guests and everyone wanted to know what to do.The setting of the ceremony, the decorations, music food was GREAT!! I would definitely recommend The Castle to others. No stress and basically all we had to do was show up and say ""I DO!"" more

I was married at the Louisiana Castle in April of 2009. Nothing could have ruined my most special day but there are several things that could have been done differently to make my day perfect. Starting off, we payed almost $6,000 for our ceremony and reception to be at the castle. Now, most people have a rehersal before their wedding to make sure everything will go perfectly. The staff at the castle, including the owner, did not want us to have a rehersal. They said that it was not necessary, that they do dozens of weddings every year and they will make sure that it will go according to our plans. Well, I still wanted a rehersal, so they charged us an extra $100 for ONE HOUR ONLY to have the rehersal. The day of our wedding, the staff messed up on the songs played at the ceremony. How embarrassing it was to have them screw up the songs while the bridesmaids were walking down the aisle. After the ceremony, when my husband and I were introduced for the FIRST TIME to the guests, the wedding coordinator, Mary, mispronounced my husbands first name over the loud speaker and just said ""Sorry"". Another embarrassing moment. After that, things just got worse with Mary. She demanded for my husband and I to sit down and eat, even with everything going on, people to talk to and pictures to take. She literally got upset when we told her that we wanted to cut our cake first so we could go ahead and take pictures. After cutting the cake ""her way"" (because she is a control freak), the cake was completely taken apart in 2.5 seconds. Her staff came immediately after our toast and demolished the cake and began to serve it. I mean took off ALL the decorations: topper, flowers, everything. It's a good thing that my photographer got pictures before the reception because we would not have had any if she didn't. Then a little later, she really put the icing on the cake. She yelled at my photographer because she asked where to find something. If you ask me, Mary and her staff are very unprofessional. If you are thinking about having your wedding or funcion there, please think twice about it and review the following things that also happend prior and during my wedding. Mary did not take my wedding seriously and thinks that one wedding is just like any other. I give the castle a 2 out of 5. Pros: Beautiful place Cons: The staff- Mary in particular. more
