Editorial review from Citysearch 8/11/2015

We had dinner at Longhorn the other night-there were 6 of us. The server was very pleasant and in taking our order, did not write anything down. He remembered every detail of each order and upon delivery of our food, he had everything exactly as we had ordered it. Very impressive service and excellent food. more

Fantastic steak,awsum service,reasonable prices 8/10/2008

Not sure why Michael23 had such a bad experiance here. Because my girl(friend) and I stopped in here on vacation from Omaha,Ne and were TOTALLY impressed by everything. I am a former restaurant mngr. and chef for 15 years and have spoiled my beautiful lady friend with my cooking. And she knows great food as a result of that. We were seated within 60 seconds of entering.Yes, granted we did get there around 6:30. But as anyone knows, you have to arrive a little early at such a great place,or you may have to wait a bit. As we found out. Because shortly after we arrived, the place was packed. We were seated and greeted by our waitress within minutes. She asked and helped with our choice of a before dinner cocktail, and after she returned with them in a very timely matter, asked if we would like an appitizer. As if she was reading our minds she suggested a shrimp & lobster dip w/chips. It was "the bomb!" We both ordered the Ceaser sald which we were both very impressed with. The greens were fresh and the thinly sliced Parmission cheese was perfect. We had to force ourselves to stop eating it to save room for dinner as it was plentiful. We both ordered the prime rib (she had it traditional and I with the Bernaise sauce). My lady friend had the sweet potatoe and I the baked. Both of which were done to prfection and hers had the flavor of grandma's sweet potatoe at Thanksgiving.(delicious!) Both too large for either of us to finish. We both had to take some steak and our potatoe home for leftovers as we were stuffed! And to top it all off...our waitress brought us a small complimetory dish of icecream with some kind of sauce that I can't remember...wish my girl(friend) was here helping me type this cuz she'd remember. All I know is it was DELICIOUS! We both agreed on one thing. When we come back to this area,we WILL eat here agin.I have paid alot more in Omaha for the same experiance. We can't wait to eat here again. Pros: Great food, great servive, fair prices more

Great steak. poor service 2/16/2007

I've only been on the weekend for starters. so with that, i can only tell you about my past 3 visits. if it was'nt for the steak i would not go there! To reserve a table and expect them to call your name, is a joke. three straight times, they have forgotten about me, after repeat times of going up and asking them how far along are we. but i like i said, if it was'nt for the steak... ( of course the price for the steak is a bit much, but, if you want a good steak...) the potato that comes with the steak should be served only with a kids meal,i mean, you could hold three of them in your hand at one time, they are so small ! ( and there IS such a thing called ,over cooking a potato) service is so-so, make sure your not empty on your drink before ordering another one. again, i like their steaks, so i put up with it. Pros: great steak Cons: everything else more

GREAT food, really the best steak and potatoes I've ever had. Staff is mostly friendly, atmosphere a little noisy, but still good. Prices are average. more

Founded in Atlanta by George McKerrow,Jr.,LongHorn Steakhouse began with one man's passion for perfect steak but very few guests to convince. Then a freak snowstorm hit Atlanta in 1982,stranding motorists and drawing them to one of the only hospitable places available - a restaurant then called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. Tales of expertly grilled steaks soon spread like wildfire, and the legend of LongHorn was born.
Today,LongHorn welcomes diners to a modern, relaxing dining experience, with knowledgeable servers offering the finest fresh steaks, chicken and seafood expertly prepared as only LongHorn can.
Beyond legendary steaks done right,LongHorn is also known for being a positive force in the community. Each day,the restaurant gathers unused, fresh food that wasn't served & donates it to local community food banks. LongHorn Steakhouse is proud to give back to the local community and help make a difference in the lives of others.
