They were friendly, professional, informative and always available. This Queens Moving Company made our moving day so much easier than we expected. A real positive bunch of people. Thank you Queens Lonestar Moving Company for a superb job Moving from Manhattan to Queens with 2 kids, 1 cat and a husband is the most stressful thing to go through. Making sure everything packed correctly, moved correctly and efficiently alone is stressful. Well, I was so pleased with all this moving company had to offer. Paul and Charles came to our apartment to pack us up. They did a wonderful job! They brought all the material, I didn't have to lift a finger. The next day we had a group of 4 men, all professionals! All like the boy next door look. What a pleasure having soft spoken, educated men in my home to move my precious belongings. This past March I moved from Glen Cove to Queens. I was excited but stressed at the same time. I searched for reputable licensed and insured Queens moving companies. I found a ot of great companies on the internet. While locating Lonestar Moving and reading their great reviews, (which helps) I was also referred by a dear friend who also used this company. Her and I had the same great experience. From the moment I called and spoke to Renee in the office, the feeling was professional and polite as well as eductaed. I received a binding quote within 10 minutes of my phone call, I immediately booked with Lonestar Moving. 24 hours prior to my moving day, they emailed confirming. On the day of move, they showed up 15 minutes early, prepared, postive, friendly and ready. I had 3 guys. Paul my foreman was wonderful. Not only were my men great, all handsome. Good company having good looking movers! They moved all my items, without breaking, hing pictures, assembled furniture, hooked up my tv's and computer at no extra charge, part of my hourly rate, what a deal. I will use Lonestar Moving again and again and refer this moving company to anyone I hear moving. Please note this moving company is not at all bad, liars, cheats, etc. I have noticed that there are reviews on this companies listing that read negatives reviews but are about Columbia Movers, E-Z Moving and even a restaurant review. My sister had lived in Bushwick ever since she graduated from Skidmore upstate and always wanted to live in Williamsburg. Last summer she got the chance when her lease was up and she found a place with her boyfriend just off metropolitan near south 4. She asked me to go out there from Long Island and help her move. I went a week before to look at her new apartment and the 5 story walk up she told me she was moving into, turned out to be 6 stories. 75 Stairs total I counted going up, then had to break it to her that there’s no way were going to be able to move all her stuff in one day even the three of us her boyfriend included. There was just way to many belongings. It sounded like a quick easy job at fish Bushwick to Williamsburg isn’t far at all but she lived on a side street, parking was crucial then one person would have to watch the truck while the other two took everything up and that just didn’t seem like the most efficient thing to do. I offered to pay for a moving company to do the job it would save us a lot of hassle and she could relax about getting everything into her new place. So I email a list of everything she had to move sent some pictures of her old place and new apartment and got a really good quote. They were able to send a truck that week with 3 guys and got it done in a few hours. That work would have taken us at least a day with just one pickup truck and most likely two days. There’s a reason moving companies exist and great ones like LoneStar Moving, they make your life easier, I can understand why people dread moving around the city, seriously how many people live in buildings with commercial elevators to get furniture up to your not place? Not that many especially outside Manhattan. I told my sister I hope she’s happy with her place and doesn’t plan on moving for a long time but if she does I know I’m calling up the guys from LoneStar. Moving out and down stairs is always easier than going up at least. Great company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone moving around the tristate. Thanks for all the help more

We have moved with Columbia many times, and we have NEVER had any problems. They come on time, do the job, no hassles, and leave. Each time we moved, I paid what was quoted, and it was that easy. The sales man was very nice and agreed to everything that was needed. very dissatisfied so far with their service. They did not show up when they said they would. I don't think they are good people to deal with. They try to reap you off by giving you smaller quote but than you will find out that they try to get you first by over weight and then by delivering your stuff and adding more money at the end part of your moving. more

Not the most favorable experience. I get the theme of being loud and obnoxious but I draw the line at being called an idiot. The meal was terrible, it would be nice to know what ingredients were in the meal I ordered but it's not provided on the menu. I was afraid to ask, might be called an imbecile. Thought I would play it safe with a steak salad but it had jalapeno peppers, which I despise, and they burned my mouth and totally ruined my taste buds for anything else. I would recommend this place to people I "dislike". more

Once I was all moved into my second apartment, I was unpacking and noticed that something incredibly important to me was missing (a piece of jewelry worth more than 6k). This is an item that I have full confidence was there prior to my move that morning. I know that it was a bonehead move on my part not having that item on me, BUT.... Now, I'M chasing down the company for them to even respond to me, let alone forward me to their claims department. Don't you think if something important went missing to one of your costumers you'd care enough to follow up with them? Or, you'd care enough to actually believe your costumer, and field their complaints? And lastly (and most importantly), isn't a moving business based on trust?! I think so, and all I can say is I WOULD NOT trust this company with my stuff ever again. And, I wouldn't want anyone to be in the situation I am in now... more
