Ferrari rescue at Lone Star Automotive 10/27/2010

Lone Star Automotive came to my rescue. I recently purchased at 1997 Ferrari F355 In Dallas. The drive home was great but 2 days later the clutch cylinder went out. I did not expect to be able to get it repaired in Midland but I talked to Mark Cecil for advice. He said they would be happy to at least look at the problem. I have known Mark for many years and he has kept many of my cars on the road. Mark, Roger and Mike where able to repair my clutch using genuine Ferrari parts.\r \r A few days later, I had issue with a check engine light. Again they resolved my issue. I have owned Jaguars, Land Rovers and Masserati. I expect to have them fixed in Dallas. But I cant tell you how grateful I am that Lone Star came to my rescue. more

HAPPY 9/2/2010

Have never been so impressed with an automotive shop.. sent my 2009 Chevy for my regular oil change...with their normal inspection they were able to notify me about a separation on my tire, preventing an accident or blow out. Had them replaced it with a new tire, then had them do a wheel alignment. (can't get that service at Wal-Mart or Discount)Saving me time from having to run it down to a tire shop..... Making them a true one stop shop. more

Honest, experienced, dependable 12/8/2009

Lone Star Automotive is locally owned. The people at this shop from owners down to mechanics are honest, dependable and do a great job. I have several friends that I have referred to them and have never had a complaint, just today another returned to have her heater in her car checked out. It is a rare find to find true customer service and people you can trust and depend on. Mark Cecil and his entire staff are very helpful with all of your automotive needs and I will continue to recommend them to anyone, anytime. more

Put your mind at ease 12/7/2009

Visiting a repair shop can be stressful, to say the least, but on arrival to Lone Star Automotive those symptoms begin to dissolve. The staff and the surroundings let you know you're in professional hands. They have always been fair and complete. It's a very impressive shop. I highly reccommend them. more

Quality work in a clean, professional atmosphere 12/7/2009

Upon visiting this shop, I found the team to be professional, the shop to be clean and the equipment to be state of the art. I was amazed with the turnaround time. They are reasonably priced. I have had work done on many personal and company vehicles in the past 15 years at several different shops in Midland and Odessa. None compares to Lonestar! I would definitely recommend to anyone...personal or business! more

Lone Star Automotive ROCKS 12/7/2009

I have had a great experience every time I use Lone Star. Mark and his team ROCK! This shop is clean, classy, and careful! They are very professional in the way they handle the customers who bring their troubled vehicles to this shop. When I have had to wait, which isn't often, I sit back and catch CNBC or Fox News so I can keep up with the news. Recently I was leaving town and one of my tires was low, so I stopped in and the team jumped right on it. Mark explained the benefits of converting to Nitrogen for my tires. I switched and now my idiot light never comes on. Thanks guys for being best in class in Midland. more

Lone Star Automotive is the cream of the crop in Midland 12/6/2009

I always have the routine maintenance on both my vehicles done at Lone Star. The guys are very professional and turnaround is usually pretty fast. Plus, I really like being able to wait in an clean, upscale lobby with leather furniture and HD television. There's nothing worse than having to hang around in a filthy, smelly pigsty, like with so many other Midland-Odessa garages. Lone Star has done it right. more

the real deal 12/6/2009

after only one visit, I have to say this seems to be a quality operation. I poked around there a while during my visit and get the feeling that the employees are treated well and are qualified. some places put on a good show but what happens behind the scenes is where "the rubber meets the road" so to speak. Lone Star looks like the real deal. more

Honest friendly and prompt service and expertise 6/9/2009

On my way from Dallas to Tucson my F150 with 125k miles started acting up anytime there was the slightest load on the motor. I limped to Midland and based on a recommendation by a T&C clerk. I showed up in the morning, was welcomed by a friendly staff who got my truck in and out - and fixed the problem - for under 100 bucks! Fortunately it was nothing related to the transmission, which was my greatest fear. Their technician was well experienced and cleaned the mass air flow sensor, which had carbon deposits misleading its read-out. Honest, friendly and prompt service with great experience in the business. Two thumbs up! more

Diesel Experts 12/16/2008

My truck had been to several different shops throughout the years with a multitude of problems. I drive a Ford Powerstroke 6.0 and anyone who drives one of these vehicles know that your bound to rub into some problems. The problem with other shops is the wait time to get your powerstroke repaired. LoneStar Automotive has cut the wait time I am accustomed to by half. I appreciate the due dilligence when it came to repairing my vehicle. more

Lone Star Automotive 12/14/2008

I highly recommend Lone Star Automotive. We have a Mini Cooper and thought we would have to drive long distances just to get routine maintenance done but not so. Mark assured me that they could get all necessary parts for routine maintenance and also repairs. I found them to be efficient, reasonable and very professional. I would recommend their work to anyone needed excellent mechanical services. more

I am amazed at this place. No other auto repair facility - that I?ve ever seen - is this clean. Great auto repair facility! 12/4/2008

I recently had my BMW in for service. This was a very clean and nicely decorated facility. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My car was taken care of in a timely manner. Excellent service and I would recommend this auto repair facility to everyone in the Permian Basin. more

Not so great 11/11/2008

We took my 2000 Dodge durango in last week because it wouldn't start. They decided that the starter was completely shot, and needed to be replaced immediately. It was going to be about $500 to fix with parts and labor, which we couldn't afford at the time. So we had it towed home. Got in to put it in neutral and push it into the driveway, and it started right up. Not certain if they just didn't really check it out and assumed, or what, but we haven't had a problem since. more
