Lombards Stereo

Showed up with a dead stereo in the dash and left with a great sounding, awesome looking, and good priced stereo. No pressure from sales just good information and lots of choices. Thank you Lombards for a great stereo. more

Basically don't go there for anything for example i used layaway and when i asked them how long i can have my layaway for they told me FOREVER and said that they once had a guy who had it for 5 yrs. and i also asked what happens if i CHANGE my mind about the product i was originally purchasing and they said i can have STORE CREDIT so i acknowledge that and went back and wanted an amp instead but the problem was that they wanted me to pay extra for the amp when my store credit was $500 and the amp was worth $430 i told him i just want the amp keep the rest and then he told me that i only had $420 in store credit i showed him my paper work and called me a lier and then i proved him wrong and made him look like a dumass because i actually had receipts of $520. After all that he said that LombardsStereo is a different company is not LombardsAutosound anymore but yet they use the same Crap, store looks the same, and bussiness card says "excellence since 1961" but the company is only 1 yr. o more

Well how can I begin, I did my whole system at lombards. And I experienced nothing but excellent customer service and quality. I went in originally just looking for speakers but in the end, I did my entire system there. And the whole way dave was nothing but helpful. Discussing with me product info and what not to and what to get. Always making sure that I was happy with the quality of the products I purchased. I would recommend this shop to anyone. I dont really understand the negative reviews of some of the other people. Obviously they were looking for ferrari quality at a honda price and found that they were shut down =). Anywho my hats off to the guys at lombards. Outstanding job everyone keep up the great work. more

I went into Lombard's looking for a new head unit for iPhone/iPod control and new rear speakers. The sales guy Jason was prompt in addressing me and listened to what I was looking for. After tossing ideas back and forth, he offered up a suggestion for the iPhone/iPod connectivity I was looking for that I had never heard of, then showed me the installed product in his car. We discussed options for getting better sound out of the existing head unit as well. After talking to Jason, and the owner, David, I decided on some rear speakers and an iSimple iPod Kit. Lombards installed the equipment and the fit and finish are perfect. After my first encounter, I went back and spoke with David about replacing the front speakers and adding some lows. David was willing to work with me and came in under my budget. The car is done and the sound is awesome, the installation was pain free, and I'm in love with the results. Everything looks professional and works as they described. Lombards prices are fair, and they are willing to guarantee their workmanship. They are NOT the cheapest place in the area, and I've had work done elsewhere, and it's evident you get what you pay for. more

I had my system installed by these guys and the pre-sale service was great. Talked a real good talk, but after the sale it was a totally different experience. They would keep my vehicle for the day and do nothing. Tell me they worked on it or they were to busy too, so it would need to remain another day. This went on and on until I gave up them. As I walked away the installer guy called me a liar one day, and a pain in the ass another, and then on another day said he's back again with a tone to his workers. All I wanted was to get my system fixed, nothing more than what I paid for, which was a working system. I Had to figure out the problem and fix it myself. They took my good money and wasted my valuable time. If after the sale matters to you go elsewhere. more

This place is great. Lombards, in Santa Maria, is THE place to get your car stereo system. I've been dealing with these guys since 2005. They have worked on more than one of my cars. They are helpful and are willing to give you all the info you need to make a good decision for what you listen to in the car. I've got an amp, subwofer, and speakers in my current car and it rocks out really well. \r \r I heard about the Lombard's in SLO, but the last time I was in the Santa Maria Lombard's, they told me that the SLO store was a franchise and that they took it over again in October 2009. I guess the same management I'm used to seeing in SM is now in SLO too. This HAS to be a good thing. I had not heard very good things about the SLO store before.\r \r The Santa Maria Lombards has helpful sales guys and experienced installers that actually know what they are doing, instead of the hacks I've seen elsewhere. more

I have been dealing with Lombards in Santa Maria for over 5 years. They have worked on my car and truck. They have gone out of their way to make sure that I was happy with how my system sounds and looks. Pros: great sounding gear and guys that know what they are doing Cons: busy place more

I went to SOS, I left SOS. I can't believe people shop in these other hole in the wall shops. Lombards AutoSounds was professional and the install on my car couldn't have been better. I was amazed at how good my car sounded for how little I spent. I've spent waaay more at the other shops in town and had nothing but problems and bad sound. I would recommend Lombards AutoSounds to anyone who still believes in customer service like the old days, and wants it done right the first time more

Was the install cost at Lombards AutoSounds more expensive than SoS and Atlas? Yes! But it's worth every penny! My installation looked like something you see on TV, everything neat and all the wires were routed clean and out of the way. My last car was done at SOS and they didn't even mount my amp, it was just sliding around under my seat with wires to trip over, and it kept blowing a fuse. The guys at Lombards were actually knowledgeable about the product they sold me!!! Everyone else just said ""You should buy this one"", without ever explaining why, or letting me choose based on what was best for me. Lombards AutoSounds workmanship and customer service was 100x better than what I've experienced at the cheaper shops. Their work comes with a lifetime warranty on all labor!!! And its even in writing on all the receipts! And unlike the guy above, The more I was interested in, the better the deal was. My entire system was going to cost me over $3,000.00 but I saved over $500.00 for getting a package deal! Pros: Customer Service and quality of work. Cons: I now know how bad my ther systems sound (from other shops) more

the people who think they have good deals obviously havnt shopped around and their customer service is on par with everyone else, along with their quality. People who dont know anything go here cause thats all they know and havnt been anywhere else. SOS, way better pricing, no appt needed, same quality and service. need i say more? more

There are very few high end car stereo stores in Santa Maria. Lombards is a small chain with two or three other stores. I found the crew to have a high degree of customer service, to be very helpful, and knowledgeable. Alex and Dave are terrific salesmen. Rob and the install crew certainly seem to know what they are doing. I only wish Alex would be a little more specific on pricing and provide more documentation. I highly recommend Lombards. first of all these guys are rip offs, i took my truck in and got a 3000 dollar stereo system cash, no deals, just cockiness and ignorance out of the sales rep Juan, a fat idiot, all he does is talk sh*T on other brands they dont carry, and try to make you feel like and idiot. ill never go there again overpriced, and they do a sh*tty job. more

They have a return policy that only allows you to return items for store credit. I bought a radio and brought it back with a receipt with the unopened radio 5 days later. That's when I found out I could get store credit. They will try to make you happy if they can but they're going to keep your money. Pros: try to make you happy Cons: No cash refunds more

I am very satisfied with my installation! The guys in the front of the store were nice and helpful, The Men in the back were not only professionals they were super hot, except for DC! If you are looking for a smokin deal and a good time stop by Lombards and ask for John!! more

The guys at Lombard's in Santa maria do great work. They have been doing installs for years. Best place to go for any custom work. Have a stereo that won't fit your dash. They can will custom fabricate a new dash piece to make it look like it came that way from the factory. Just don't go to the San Luis store. It's not owned by the same guy as Santa maria. They are not helpful up in San Luis. more

First used them about fifteen years ago. Have always had great serivice. Lombards knows their business. Have had different systems put in my cars over the years and have always been happy with the choices they offered. They always helped me choose what I was comfortable with price wise and equipment wise. Didn't try to oversell me. The installations have always looked great when they are done. more

Lombards has everything you need for your car stereo. They have subs, head units and everything in between. They also have a wide variety of car alarms. Another thing that they carry is in-car entertainment systems such as DVD players and screens. They also do a very good job with their professional installation. This is where most people in the area like to go for their custom car audio purchases. more

Very professional and fast! They install auto stereos as well as for boats and RV's and bikes, etc. They do a great job with great sound and guarantee their work. Plus the price is right. They do it real fast and they're right by Target so if you have a lot of shopping to do, you can make a day out of it. I highly recommend. more

Checked out their shop in San Luis Obispo. Tryed to have a conversation with them and was blown away by their cockiness and ignorance. They are totally unprofessional and I don't recommend anybody going there. Go to a larger chain store for better service/prices. PROS: CONS: everything more
