Great family owned business. Something for everyone. My husband loves eggs benedict but its never on the menu and they always make it for him! Great family dining for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Caio Italia! more

AWESOME Sunday brunch! 9/12/2009

We were heading to Rhinebeck, N.Y., from Farmington, Conn., and wanted to load up on a good breakfast or brunch. We scanned some reviews and almost settled on the Collins diner before noting the less-than-stellar reviews it received. We headed west on Route 44 and decided to try out luck. When we saw the packed parking lot at the Log House, we thought, ""This must be the place."" What a find! Biscuits and gravy, three kinds of potatoes, superb scrambled eggs, waffles, tons of fresh fruit and juice. They had it all ... and for $8 for an all-you-can-eat ticket to the goodness. Food was just ok. Nice atmosphere. A bit expensive. I may go back and try some different dishes. The deluxe hamburger was a bit small and nothing special, and a bit overpriced for what you get. Actually they charged 50 cents extra for ""lettuce and tomato"" which I think should be standard. The chicken fettucini alfredo was very tasty however. Overall, a mixed bag. This restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast,lunch and dinner.and offers an award winning Sunday breakfast buffet. Family owned and operated with a varied menu and daily specials the owners and chefs take pride in serving the best home style meals in the area at an affordable price.
