We were strongly advised to stay far away from this bar from both the front desk clerk at our motel and from the owner of a neaby bar. They warned us about a group called the ""Clampers"" who hang out there and beat people up for the hell of it! They also said that the bar's nickname was ""the Log STABBIN' "" due to all the fights and deaths that occured. The other bar owner also told us that the alleyway right next to the bar was filled with addicts and tough guys and to definitely avoid it at all costs. What a negative review! Naturally this piqued our interest and naturally we HAD to go through this alleyway to the bar. We walked through the dark alley and saw absolutely no one. As we entered the street my party of four startled some rough, lumberjack type who quickly scurried away from us! We entered the bar and were greeted with a warm ""howdy"" from the bartender who was alone with some Vietnam Vet-type. No one else was in the bar. We ordered drinks which were served promptly and without attitude and the girls in our party played a cheap game of pool. Absolutely no unpleasant events occured, certainly no ""Clampers"" threatening to beat us up. The fellows at the bar even asked the girls who won the pool game and congratulated my wife, the winner!
