I can always count on John Gerard to really listen to what want to do with my hair and give me a beautiful new look that is easy for me to take care of. Even when he's challenged me to push the boundaries my comfort zone as a tried and true long hair gal, I have been really happy with every style he's given me. more

Janet has seriously given me the best haircuts hands down and her haircuts grow out amazingly! I have been seeing her for the past 3 years and she has been consistent every single time. My curly hair can be challenging, to say the least. In the past I have tried the best of the best in NYC, but always ended up disappointed, as I always ended up with a ""hair cut"", but not a ""hair style"". Then I met Noelle. Her cuts are cool and hip without being a slave to hair fashion trends, always explaining and advising the best cuts and hair care remedies for me personally. Over the years, I have referred to her many friends with different ""hair issues"" and they have always been very pleased and I couldn't be happier with the service I receive from Noelle and the whole staff at Loft 26. more

The Best Keratin ever...need I say more, yes I will.\r Kayleen also does the phyto hair treatments, I had a problem with my dry scalp she recommended a treatment and products and it worked wonders for my scalp, now I can wear black without the worry of looking like I sand storm. more

I had my keratin done by Kayleen in the summer for the first time and I loved it so much I went back this week and had it done for the winter,I have lots of hair and it takes me forever to blowdry, the keratin helps cut my blow dry time by 20 mins.\r The space is fab and so is the staff everyone is freindly and funny. I am now a client forever..love my girl Kay,she took the time to listen to my needs. more

I became a Loft 26 client through its sister company Once Upon a Bride - Stacey Weinstein the owner did my wedding hair and it was amazing. John Gerard Griffith is now my regular stylist for cuts and is fantastic. I thought I needed to chop the whole mess off and he helped me keep my length but get it looking healthier and made great product recommendations. Loren is my colorist and fantastic. I'm not one of their celeb clients but I feel just like one - they all remember me when I come in and say hello and it's just a great experience.\r more

The Salon is beautiful, the staff is friendly and John Gerard is the best stylist I've ever been to. John gives a great haircut and has a sense of humor that only ""true New Yorker's"" have (he's from the Bronx originally). I would recommend him to any guy who is looking for a good cut that people will notice and comment on. more

Well as someone who has been involved in the beauty industry for 10+ years, I havn't had such a great experience then when I went to Loft 26. With my friend's recommendation, I went to my now and always, go-to stylist, John Gerard Griffith. Per typical nerves about going to someone new, I met with John before my hair was washed, so he could get a really good idea of my hair and my concerns. My biggest concern always is my two cowlicks, but before I even mentioned them, John already noticed. I was so excited after my first cut and the welcoming feeling throughout the salon, I have not looked back. Might I add they have the best hair washing stations, you can totally take a nap in the bed like chairs and you have no strain on your neck at all. Through a typical trim or creating a complete new look. I have had so many compliments, and I have to add John set me up with a colorist, Shane, who is fantastic! John and Shane have taken my hair to a new level and I already have friends and family who visit NYC adding John and Shane to their itinerary. I do not write reviews, call me selfish but I like to keep my finds, like a great perfume, secret, but John and Shane deserve recognition for their great craft and Loft 26 for the most comfortable salon I have been to in years... more

What a joy to leave a salon with the perfect hair color! Loren Basis has a wonderful eye for color and always gets it right. She is great with brunettes (especially grey haired ones). I've never been disappointed with Loren's work. more

Hands down one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. The owner, Stacey Weinstein, cut my hair. It's hard to find a good female hair stylist who knows how to cut men's hair, but she did such a terrific job. She is so funny, very nice, and made me feel really comfortable. The whole salon has a great vibe, not at all pretentious like other salons. Definitely coming here again! more

John Gerard made a boring treatment fun and relaxing with fantastic results for months! My friends are still talking about how great my hair is despite the 100% humidity days we have had this summer.
