little pete's food is horrible, but then again its a diner that is open 24hours and usually only frequented by late-night partiers who crave something to eat and hang out. after 2am this is the afterhours place to be. The food is better than the Midtown diners around center city. The service is fast, although the food is VERY greasy. Make sure you tell them how you want everything cooked. This is a great place to go for great and inexpensive breakfasts/brunches. Gets incredibly crowded on weekend mornings, but I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Definitely more of a rough, down-home atmosphere, and a neat place to go for some coffee and people-watching. The food itself is greasy (what diner food isn't?) but delicious, and the service is lightning fast. I've been in and out in about 45 minutes or less. Even if service can be a bit gruff (but always friendly), philly-style, it's worth it. more

Little Pete's is a 24-hour all-smoking diner located in the Rittenhouse Area that serves standard diner fare. For me, the most interesting thing about the place is that they actually deliver everything on their menu. If you are too lazy or hungover in the morning to make yourself breakfast, you can get a tomato and feta omelette, scrambled eggs and home fries, french toast, or an Italian hoagie delivered to your door in about 20 minutes. The food, while not wonderful or unique, is consistently good in the diner-style and is inexpensive. The restaurant is also 24 hours a day for post-bar hunger pains and significantly better than most other options at that time of night. There is rarely much of a wait but it is always pretty smokey. more
