loving and supportive environment. 6/27/2011

We picked Little Blossom from the very beginning due to several reasons: It was not an In-Home preschool. The Montessori method of teaching self reliance and independence. and Little Blossom's director who is a very caring and warm hearted person. Since then, we have grown to love the school and the staff who take such good care of our children. My son has grown leaps and bounds in this last school year. When he first started this year, he only knew his alphabets but now can read level one books. He not only knows how to count up to 1000, but knows how to add and subtract up to 3 numbers at a time. He knows all of his Presidents from the very beginning to G.W. Bush. Pentagons, Hexagons, to Decagons. All the while, he is pushed to learn in a loving and supportive environment. He always tells me how much he loves his teacher and how much she loves him and takes care of him. more

learning very important social skills 6/21/2011

My two children attend Little Blossom at Natomas and have been since the school began in August 2006. My son, 5, is in a Pre-K class and my daughter, 3, is in the Preschool class. The 5 year old actually attended Little Blossom school at the S. Land Park Dr location for a year prior to his transfer to the current location. And every parent knows how we word these questions to our kids to draw out the real truth about how they really feel about their teachers. My 3 year old's experience is also positive. She, the 3 year old, is loving her first year of school. She is gaining independence and learning very important social skills. What's more important, she now lets go of my hand in the mornings when I drop her off to go say hi to her teacher and chat about the prior days events or to tell her about a beloved stuffed animal. more

exactly why we put them in 6/17/2011

As for the curriculum, yes, my kids did learn countries, continents, all the presidents and states. And, yes, they also learned their colors and shapes. They also learned Spanish, dance, sharing, addition, subtraction, reading, phonics and how to relate to other children. This is exactly why we put them in a private setting and paid the tuition. more

wonderful, caring 6/15/2011

Of course no place is perfect, but Little Blossom is a wonderful, caring and beneficial place to put your child. They take newborns up through kindergarten. I highly recommend them! more

very communicative 6/9/2011

Each teacher and teacher's helpers became a treasured part of my family's lives. The entire staff is very approachable and all very communicative. In each classroom, each child has a folder for notes, homework and projects they did in class. The PTA is active and thriving and the owners are very involved with all of the PTA's ideas and suggestions. more

Little Blossom is a great school and I can't say enough positive things about it. more

pleasantly surprised 6/1/2011

They are actively involved in the potty training process as well. But, as the parent, I do fully understand it is my responsibility to take the lead. The staff is encouraging and helpful in the process, though. They also provide a reward system for the learner. I was pleasantly surprised with all of their efforts. more

outstanding and excellent educators 5/25/2011

The teachers are all outstanding and excellent educators. All very caring and took my children's best interests to heart. Between both of my children, we had a child in each of their classrooms at some point over the last three years. I loved each room. In fact, the school was so good to us that we decided to leave our oldest there to go through and graduate from kindergarten. more

Not recommended and here is why 5/10/2011

We met with the Director of the school who turned out to be NOT friendly and accommodating. He did not talk much about the school at all, indicating he was not open about accepting our child, as they are obviously very picky about the children they take in the school. We were not impressed at all with his lack of knowledge and positive attitude and yet he represents the school to the parents. more

We Love Little Blossom Montessori 12/27/2009

My daughter is in the infant room and is soon moving to the toddler room and we have loved every second of it. My daughter is very slow to warm up and I'm a single mom so I was very nervous about her being away from me, but she loves her teachers and always runs to give them kisses and high fives before going home. My daughter doesn't react that favorably even with her dad so I know they are doing all the right things. There are lots of complaints on here, and so far I have not experienced any of these issues. There are a lot of complaints on this sight, and sadly, there will always be people looking to complain about something. You would complain if they didn't use Lysol because then the carpet wouldn't be sanitary, but you also complain about them using Lysol because it's not allowed. How do they win this battle then, exactly? I'm not here to bash on parenting styles, but some children need discipline, especially if they are disrupting the other students constantly. I know for a fa more

Little Blossom Montessori Schl is Great! 12/16/2009

Who are we to judge? NOBODY is perfect. We need to appreciate the teachers/staff. This school is a great place for children to learn. First of all teachers these days teachers are under payed and not appreciated! So lets start by saying thank you and teaching our kids to be respectful too. If there is a person who is negative and only writes the negative then something is wrong with them. They need to get their Sugar Honey Ice Tea straight. And parents need to discipline their children so their wouldn't be any problems. A school is a school and trust me YOU cant please everyone!! From what i know and what i've seen, is that the teachers do their best to give the children the education they need. more

INFO FROM THE INSIDE! Your children are NOT SAFE at this school! We are talking about 2, 3,and 4 year olds! Teachers yell in the child's face puts them on time out and forgets about the child for at leas 30 minuets. They grab the child's arm and forces the child to sit down.Makes them cry by putting the child down. At curricle time the child is not aloud to use the bathroom. Hello teachers that's 30 minuets the child has to hold it! They let one child do something and the other gets in trouble. At nap time they force the child to sleep but another child gets to play in another classroom. When its lunch time the child only gets 2 servings even if they are still hungry. If a child talks at lunch time they get time out and has to sit and eat by themselves. If a child pees on the carpet all they do is spray lysol. Did you know that lysol is NOT aloud to be use in any kind of care center? Coming from a teacher I would rethink keeping or putting your child in Little Blossom Montessori! more

Little Blossom is Great 5/27/2009

I've had both my children at Little Blossom since they opened. Sue and Lucky are very kind and understanding. My 5 year old can read, write and count to 200. He has learned a lot and we look forward to him going to Kindergarten soon. Some parents have had a bad experience here, but this happens in all school/daycare facilities. Little Blossom tries very hard, but you can't please everyone, it's just not possible. Overall, this has been a great experience and I tell all my friends and neighbors to check out Little Blossom, I've had a great experience there. more

Beware 5/2/2009

The owners are more interested in meeting the max capacity limit of the school building than quality of education they can provide to the children who attend this school. They have almost 30 kids per classroom in the preschool classes. Its seems like the classes are in chaos due to the teacher student ratio and their every changing assistants (there is a high turnover rate with the assistants.) Your child may often bring home the teachers art as well with their name written on it as if the child really did it (yeah right). I used to be a supporter of this school. But one by one all of the quality teachers have left or are leaving and it seems like their replacements are not as qualified. This school is definitely going down hill from what it used to be. I would not recommend this school to anyone like I would have in the past. Glad my child does not attend this school anymore. more

Beware!!! 3/9/2009

LBMS is a beautiful facility but the management and staff need a lot of improvement. Many of the staff don't even speak English and a lot of them quit after working there for a couple of weeks. Sue, the director is VERY tough to communicate with. She is NOT a listener. She is VERY reactive and is quick to defend herself without really listening. Also, the school is more interested in making money rather than providing for the safety of the students. My child was hit, punched and kicked repeatedly by another girl almost daily. The staff didn't bring t to my attention until my child told me and I witnessed the abuse myself. Sue and Lucky refused to do anything about it because as Sue said "well, we are working with their family and they have been with us from the beginning". What is that supposed to mean!? The little girl needs counseling but Sue refuses to be honest with parents. I later learned that Sue would rather not say anything so that she can keep a family that was paying for two more

Tour with Lucky 12/24/2008

My husband and I were looking into placing our infant in their facility here at "Little Blossom Montessori." \r We asked Lucky if we could see the room to which our child will be in during while were both at work. \r My husband proceeded to go into the room Lucky immediately said you can just look through the window because the kids are busy playing really good right now.\r I asked Lucky you're kidding right? He said no! You two can look through the window which is a great view of your child. Immediately, I thought wow! we CAN'T go inside the room for that reason. I wasn't going to ask for a full tour of the place from that point on we were totally turned off.\r There is absolutely no way we would ever consider bring our child to a place to where we are not allowed to physically step into the room. more

Little Blossom - Turly a World Class Preschool! 8/31/2008

I have to say after researching several preschools and personally experienced a very expensive and highly recommended preschool, which was a dismal failure for my son in 2005. LBMS was the savior and the shining light that provided a sound, comfortable and safe environment for my son. From what I get from all the negative critics in past postings is that many folks have not experienced a negative and horrible environment that we went through with another preschool. Many of the other preschools that are overrated and overpriced you are not necessarily getting a better education, nor a fostering environment. Instead I found you are supplementing lower-social economic families w/lesser values than most working class families. Although nothing is perfect, LBMS is pretty close to perfection and I wound not hesitate to recommend this school to any parent that is researching preschools. The head director has been there for over 10 years, some of her more permanent staffing has been there as l more
