Liquid Tattoo

I am thinking about stopping by that shop and breaking the owners nose... I am from northern Michigan and won't be able to get it touched up due to the fact their artists rules. My tattoo is horribly scarred, and spotty. It's the worst art I ever seen. Thank you liquid ink for the awesome scars you gave me. Stay away from their chicken scratch artists... Go to another shop if you want a tattoo. I paid over a hundred for this awesome scar on my arm...what a steal! more

The absolute worst tattoo shop I've ever been to/ heard of. I got my very first tattoo done here. It is such an unprofessional, uncomfortable environment. And the artist completely screwed up the smallest tattoo on me. It is horribly asymmetrical, and the colored in part was so awful. It was really blotchy, and none of the outline connected. I have heard other horror stories from numerous people about this place. Definitely a waste of money, and a horrible experience for something so permanent. I went to Vivid Ink in Holt to have their disaster fixed as much as possible. it looks much better, but the outline couldn't be fixed much because of how awful the guy at Liquid Tattoo did. Don't waste your time or money here. more

First piercing, got a double eyebrow done. Sebastian, young dude working there, is the only piercer. He was friendly, made sure the piercings were exactly where I wanted them before doing it. Everything is extremely sterile, the employees are very clean, and it was only $25 a piece, including jewelry, and I happily tipped $10 for it. Compare this $60 total to over $80 for Splash (without tip), it makes much more sense to get piercings done here. Will return. more

Liquid Tattoo was my first time getting a tattoo. I have since gotten 2 more elsewhere due to moving out of the area but am excited about looking into revisiting Liquid Tattoo again to see Jesse. I saw Jesse Kane he did a piece on my back plus he tattooed my hubby and our friends. He is an awesome tattooist. He is very light handed and has a great attitude. I would recommend Liqiud Tattoo to anyone, exspecially Jesse. more

I had gone to another place in Lansing that is now out of business but have heard so many good things about Liquid. Went there and Max did a small piece on the top of my right foot. He did great! Made me feel very at ease as i hadn't gotten a tattoo in about 8 years. I would recommend them to anyone. more

i have got 2 tattoos by nate and he has did most of my familys tattoos chris is really good i got 2 piercings from him and i liked them both more

I have gotten all of my tattoos and piercing done at Liquid Tattoo. My tattoos ranged in different levels of difficulty and each one came out phenomenal. The staff is friendly, fun, and professional. They made me feel at ease and I enjoy being there. more

I got my first tattoo at Liquid when I turned 18. The staff knew what they were doing, which was a plus because I was clueless. I have no negative things to say about Liquid, I put the price as a con, but the quality of their artwork is well worth the price you pay. This was my first tattoo, and my first time even stepping foot in a tattoo shop. I had been told by Splash of Color that my artwork would have to be much larger than I wanted for it to work. So, with the recommendation from a friend, I went to Liquid Tattoo. I met with Max, who told me he could make it work, so I set up an appointment. I am extremely happy with the results. I went in with no appointment and requested to get my naval pierced and got in right away I was scared since it was my first piercing but the workers are very nice and compherting. I got a clean pierce and was on my way. Thanks liquid :) more

I have waited for a long time to get a tattoo and after a lot of looking into it found Liquid Tattoo and Big Steve. I wanted an ""Old School"" USN tattoo and after finding an old picture of a Sailor Jerry tattoo did some extra artwork and had Steve do it. he was truely a professional and I will go and get inkied in the very near future again from him. Very clean and professional atmosphere and do not let the outside appearence sway you from the professional inside of this place. As for some of the bitching on price, you get what you pay for, said enough! Great Job!!! Pros: Great inking artist. Cons: none. more

OK..SO I GOT A TATTOO YESTERDAY AND ALOT OF PEOPLE SAID GO TO LIQUID TATTOO THEY R CHEAP! WELL I WENT TO SPLASH OF COLOR FIRST AND THEY SAID MY TAT WOULD BE 65 DOLLARS.ITS JUST A MEDIUM CHINESE SYMBOL. WELL I DECIDED SINCE EVERYONE SAID LIQUID TAT IS WAY CHEAPER ID GO THERE INSTEAD. OH THEY WERE WRONGGGG!!!! MY TAT WAS 85...AND THE ARTIST RUINED MY SHIRT!! THE TAT LOOKS GOOD BUT I COULDA HAD A WAYYYY BETTER PRICE. I am an experienced tattooee & piercee for the last 10 years. I have been all over the southeast US from Texas to Florida to Michigan. I met Steve, the owner & one of the main tattoo artists, through a friend who has been going to Steve for 7 years. He was amazing, knowledgeable, gentle and kept me entertained with stories and questions about my choice of tattoo. I brought a piece of art my sister drew for me, to put on the top of my foot, regarding my children and asked him to get creative with it as the center piece. He came back with something colorful, original and had a couple of different options for me to look at which also incorporated my sons initials too. He was professional, clean and efficient. I have since returned to get a piercing by his piercer who was also just as delightful and clean. I would recommend this facility as long as Steve is the owner. He takes pride in his work, his staff, his customers and facility upkeep. Although he warned me of the potential to fade the color since it's on my foot, it's been almost 2 years and the color and details are still in immaculate condition. He offered to touch it up anytime for free-which is standard since we do most of the artists advertising. Although the staff is...interesting, they are nothing but friendly and accomodating if approached. So don't let the facade scare or intimidate you...this place is worth the appointment, time and money. They are always busy - SO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT BEFORE YOU GO! I first went to Splash of Color Tattoo in East Lansing to consult with an artist about getting my first tattoo. I wanted to get the tattoo on my ankle but the artist told me that they don't do them there because the artwork will fade faster. Ok, thanks for the warning, that's a good thing to know. I said I was still willing to pay to get it done on my ankle.... the artist refused again because he said that it's the artist's artwork and he just won't do it. Hello!! I drew the design and I'm a customer willing to pay for a tattoo! He was quite rude and then also tried to ""warn"" me that any place willing to do a tattoo on an ankle is a shady establishment. Whatever! I went to another studio (Liquid Ink) and had a wonderful experience. The artist there also warned me about the premature fading but then told me that he'd do my first touch up for free! Liquid Ink was clean, relaxed, and the staff was very nice. They also charged me 1/3 the price that Splash of Color wanted!! Pros: Clean, great price, great service, great job! Cons: The atmosphere is a little dark more

I got my first tat at Liquid. I went in along with my mother and we both got tattoos. They were really friendly, clean, professional and had great prices. It was a great experience. I was really nervous and have a huge problem with needles. but they were really gentile and we both got amazing tats. My own experience and that of my friends is that the employees of Liquid Tattoo are not only very knowledgeable of their trade, but are also very willing to answer any questions a potential customer may have all while being extremely courteous (and rather cool if I may say). I myself have only experienced their work so far as a bystander, seeing their resulting work of tattoos or piercings on my friends (whom were all very satisfied). After seeing the professional attitude of the employees of Liquid Tattoo, as well as the high quality of their work (their tattoos really are top notch), I plan to get several different piercings myself and will review this business again as an actual customer if anyone wishes it. Add to it that the piercings are rather fairly priced (and much safer then the earring guns at the malls--hepatitis possibilities and all), and you have a pretty solid, but still cheap place to go for your body art needs. I went here to get my first naval piercing, hearing they were the cheapest. Only $20 for piercing and jewlery. Everything seemed okay to me, the people were a little weird, but who am I to judge. Getting pierced hurt but I figured oh well. Thy gave me after care instructions and pierced me with a hoop. Well, a couple weeks later, i noticed it didnt seem to even be in my bellybutton, i would pull up on my stomach and it looked like they took a chunk of skin from my abdomen and pierced it. So I went to another parlor, right away I noticed a BIG difference! It was CLEAN! I got a consult from the head piercer...everything was wrong, the way they pierced it, the instructions for after care, and people have not been piercing with hoops for about 10 years because the healing time is way longer...anyways, they took the piercing out and about 4 months later I got re-pierced at this place. It didnt even hurt this time. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE to go to Liquid tattoo! NEVER. Pros: Prices Cons: Horrible more
