Horrible service and an upcharge of $2 for requesting egg whites (due to allergy). Was at this establishment before and they didnt charge. Guess today was a slow day? Lunch includes soup BUT NOT OF YOU""RE CHOOSING just Soup of the day, so if you want Wonton Soup you'll pay an extra $1. Nearly $11 for Egg Foo Young! Bad attitude/horrible service by owners - I WILL NE more

Went to Lin's on Windward today for the first time to place a 'to-go' order. The woman who took our oder at the front desk was not friendly at all, didn't crack a smile, and seemed as if she cared less whether she got our business or not. The food is average ...Chin chin is a much better option! On a positive note, the decor inside looked good, however we won't be back. more

BEST Chinese food in town 9/24/2011

My whole team and I have been going to this placefor years, ever since they opened. We have never had any issues at this place. I take my family here and my friends, they are always wowed how good, fresh and hot the food is served. Anyone saying anything else is lying. The food i've received has always been right on the mark! The team running this place serves lunch nice and quick so you don't spend your whole lunch waiting. Dinner is also served at a perfect pace. They don't push you out like other restaurants do. more

Best Ever Chinese Cuisine!!! 7/25/2011

We've been going to Lin's for many, many years and we drive 2 hours to get there! We love the owners, we love the food... it's the best ever! The service is excellent and the food always is hot and tastes excellent! My Mom who never eats Chinese absolutely loves the sesame chicken and Crag Rangoons at Lin's and she never eats seafood! My 'husfriend' loves his food hot and spicy and Lin's goes the extra mile to make his even hotter than what they normally serve! If it's not on the menu, just ask and they will accommodate! If you like your food not so spicy they will use the same ingredients at the spicy dish and use a different sauce so it's not so spicy! I've never seen the owners be mean or rude to anyone... they go out of their way to be great hosts and the servers are always very nice and polite and always filling up drink glasses and taking away dirty dishes! I think the people writing bad reviews are those that just look for something to complain about, hoping to get a free meal. The owners and servers here don't have a mean bone in their body... it's just not their nature... they are quiet, easy going, respectful people! You will not go wrong dining at Lin's - it's got wonderful ambiance, the decor is beautiful, the food and service can't be beat! more

Lin's Rocks 8/16/2010

I'm not sure if all of the other reviews are talking about the Lin's on Windward in Alpharetta, or the one on State's Bridge in Duluth. The one in Alpharetta is excellent. I have been going there since they opened and I have always received excellent service and excellent food. Some people say the owners are rude? Even when I was away for over a year and went back, they still remember my name, they still take the time to talk to me. And the food has always been very fresh, very flavorful, and fairly priced. I have introduced many friends and family members to this wonderful restaurant and will continue to do so. The General Tso's chicken or Kung-Pao have never failed to make my taste buds very happy. more

Rude Man 12/25/2009

I used to eat w at Lins when he was on State Bridge rd in Duluth. The owner.,,managers are RUDE and vey push. A real Turn OFF! Save your money and go somewhere else. Pros: Some food ok Cons: Very rude owner more

The Manager is really not a nice person 8/16/2009

The experience at this resaurant was terrible. This is now the 2nd time we've received the same horrific experience. The first time the Manager argued that we ordered a meal that we did not and made us pay for it. The second time, we ordered a to-go and did not recieve everything in the order and when I got home to call he said that he would leave it outside the door. Pros: nothing Cons: management more

Great food and atmosphere 6/30/2009

Wow, just found out that Lin's has been here in this location for 10 years! and the restaurant is so clean, looks like brand new! I love the freshness of the food that was served to me. I will be back. BTW, I love the seafood hot and sour soup and sesame chicken that I ordered. Yummy Pros: Clean, fresh, and prompt more

They are Rude and Nasty 6/28/2009

I can't beleive that they got the best of citysearch they were mean and rude form the time wse walked in they didnt want us there when we first walked through the door and the food was terrible our meet did even taste like chicken i beleive that it was cat, or evn dog it was really tough in texture and it smelled we didn't even eat we had to go to another establishment. I will never tell anyone to go there. We was told that they were very rude and now it is confirmed and the nerve of them because they are not even form this country!!!! Cons: The worst chinese restaurant in Georgia more

We had Lin's 2 times last weeks after a friend recommended this place. Both time we order Mongolian beef and the Rice noodle dish on Special and Wonton soup. I would said the both time we enjoy it very much and the food come out from the kitchen Steaming Hot! This will be our Chinese Restaurant. Thanks Bill for refering us - Nick & Karen Pros: good food more

Love Lin's since 2000 2/1/2009

Wow, its has been 9 years, and we've been eating at Lin's since they opened for business in early 2000. We never had a bad meal. Their food is always consistent and fresh. All my friends and family love it everytime I brought them there. We love the variety chooses on the menu from spicy, light, fried and steamed, we tried them all and love them all. Here's our favarite: Seafood Hot and sour soup, Sesame Chicken, Pan fried Noodle, Steamed Dumpling, Mongolian Triple delight, and Black Pepper Chicken, all yummy! Pros: Extensive menu, fresh food, great service. Cons: have to drive 12 miles to get there more

Good service, bad chinese food! 1/24/2009

Tried them out for dinner tonight given the lady was craving for some good chinese food. The interior ambience is good. Ordered hot/sour soup & 2 entrees from their vegetables menu and requested a ""medium spicy"" preparation. The soup was cold but tasted ok. The sauce in the first entree (snow pea/mushroom) was very sweet & bland. Tasted bad :-( The second one tasted similar. We mentioned this to the manager on our way out and he asked us to request ""un-sweet"" version next time. That was quite amusing to hear given the menu does not mention anything about sweet. If you want good chinese food, this is not it. Pros: Ambience, Service Cons: Food more

Great Food... Good Service... Freshest Chinese Food ive ever had!!! 9/9/2008

I work down the street from this place and I ve passed it numerous times coming from work... so i decided to go in and try it... the place is very clean nice designed/decorated... i was greeted as soon as i enetered and walked to a table... The servers were good and they quickly took my order... i received my soup in 2 or 3 minutes and 2 minutes following my soup, my entree' was on my table... i would say this place is great for lunch because they get you in and get you out quickly.... i had the kung pao chicken which was rather tasty and flavrful... everyone else's food around me looked very good and the presentation of the food was nice... I would recommend this place to any and everyone possible... Pros: good food.. Cons: small restaurant more

Some of the best Chinese food in Alpharetta 5/28/2008

Very nice, clean and tastefully decorated restaurant. The food comes out fast and is better than any we have found in Alpharetta, including those that charge much more for their food. Pros: Food, decor and service more

Great food, Cleanest restaurant 3/10/2008

I travel almost every week, every time I travel to Alpharetta, Ga. I have to get my chinese food at Lin's. Personally, I like almost every item on the menu. I have one most important thing to say is, Lin's by far is the cleanest restaurant I've dine-in thus far. Pros: very clean! more

Better Than We Expected 2/11/2008

We live at exit #14 off 400. Have been eating at Chef Chu for a long time, but they closed. I found Lin's last weekend, I should said that its the best I ever had. Its better that chef chu. The ingredeint is fresh and the cooking is flavorful. We ordered the Happy Family and sesame chicken, both YUMMY! This will not be my last time, btw the service was prompt(consider they have a full house on friday night) and the restaurant is clean, very clean. Pros: Clean, professional service, good food Cons: can't see any now.... more

Rude and Unprofessional Mgmt 2/11/2008

I have been going to Lin's since they opened for business. While the food is ok, the management (Husband and Wife) team are the most unprofessional, non customer friendly group I have ever experienced. They charged for adding white onion to a dish, $1.07, and when questioned what the charge was for they got an attitude and starting yelling at me (the customer). Then proceeded to dispute a charge that is not listed on the menu nor mentioned that it will be an additional charge when ordered. To add icing to the cake, told me not to come back - don't worry about that I will never, ever come back and will let everyone I know not to patronize them as well. May they use the additional undisclosed charges to pay for a Customer Relations course or simply close down the business if you can't handle the pressure. You should not open a restaurant in the U.S.A. and not be able to handle questions -- move back home, perhaps that is an acceptable practice there... Pros: None - the rude mgmt removed any possible pros Cons: RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL - MGMT HAS NO CLASS!!!! more
