New location is spectacular! 12/21/2007

L&E moved to a new location at 2222 NW Quimby St. back in March 2007, and it's great! They added a stunning wine cellar, plus more hand-picked great vino by the best staff in Portland. I've been shopping here for 9 years, and it just gets better. These folks love pinot, and can meet any food-pairing challenge I've thrown at them. Plus, now they're next door to The Wine Outfitters, who build amazing custom home cellars. Pros: Great selection; staff knows wine; parking on site Cons: Closed Sundays more

The best wine shop in Portland 2/7/2006

Liner & Elsen has the most well chosen wine selection in Portland. I'm consistently impressed by the wines they stock from every region, and their prices are always lower than the ones I see at other wine stores. As for the service, it's top notch. All the guys are wine lovers, and they've helped me find some really outstanding wines. And don't be intimidated by the NW 21st Avenue location-- Liner & Elsen has a parking lot! more
