We visited for the first time for five days in August and fell in love with Nantucket Island. There is no place like Nantucket Island. We loved the reviews of the Century House inn so we gave it a try. We decided to stay at the Century House because of its location and history: historic district yet walking distance to the beaches, the restaurants, downtown...not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We prefer privacy. Cliff Road is a more quiet, hidden area of the island. The inn is charming, quiet, friendly, family-oriented, and home-like. There is a lot of sitting area outside to enjoy the Nantucket breezes. Most of the people who stayed at the same time seemed to celebrate their anniversaries. We met some honeymooners.
Pros: luxury beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, historic district, friendly staff, unique, walking distance to downtown, ambience, parking on the street,
Cons: steep stairs
