Great spot. Good DJ, Superb VIP Service and good looking crowd. Agreed, this place is not pretentious at all which is a nice change. I recommend bottle service to avoid the lines on Saturdays especially. more

Not like any other place in the city. Located in the lower east side. Been there randomly, always a good time. Always a great crowed. Trendy yet not prentencious, not like any place in the area, staff is awsome. Always attractive people when ive been there. Drink prices average. Music is great. Highly recommended. Best party spot!! 4/5/2008

After my friends and I had grown bored of the over-hyped, unjustifiably pretentious spots in the Meatpacking District, we decided to check out Libation. Who knew such a great lounge existed on the LES? The place was huge (three levels) so we got a table on the second floor where we could hang out and dance while we looked over the whole club. We had planned to bounce around to a few other places that night, but we ended up having such a great time that we stayed til closing without even realizing it! Libation is now our regular weekend spot, and there is always a packed, energetic crowd and great music. Definitely check this place out, there is no other place like it! more

High Class, Attractive Crowd 3/29/2008

There was a long, Saturday night line of well-dressed New Yorkers, but the vibe inside was worth the wait. A friendly and experienced staff ensured that our night was a good one. Table service is definitely worth it, as it provides your group with some highly-desired personal space, and special attention. There was good music on all floors and a large dance floor on the third floor. I'm looking forward to going back to mix with the elite crowd. I highly recommend Libation. If you go, dress to impress because you will feel out of place if you don't. more

Great Place for a Birthday Party ! 3/9/2008

I recently celebrated my birthday at Libation and had a blast. We chose to do table service which was a great idea since the place was crowded and it allowed us to have space to ourselves. The staff was great ! Our waitress was friendly and on top of her game. My guest list was at the door and the night went smoothly as far as everyone getting in . They even had umbrellas for us outside when we went to go for a smoke ! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a good time and especially to people celebrating their birthday ! more

First off you wait in line, pay $10 cover, then $2 coat check and all you get is crappy music, no good looking people, and nasty, stripper looking girls dancing on the bar top. This place reminded me of when I went to cancun for spring break in high school. AWFUL!!! DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend this bar/wanna be club. My friends and I randomly went on a Friday night and it was a joke. We did not have any issues at the door but we did end up having to pay the $10 cover. We went in and ended up on the 2nd floor. It was a very amature club scene. The majority of the crowd there looked like they were in high school - def. not over 21. DJ was nothing to write home about. There are much better places in the area to go. This place is a waste of time more

Packed, but still a good time 1/31/2008

I went there last weekend, There was a huge line at the door, so my friends and I opted for bottle service so we could beat it. We had an awesome night here on Saturday. They brought us right up to the third floor and we had a bottle waiting for us at the table. The staff and waitresses were friendly and helpful. Not just a night club... 1/28/2008

I've been to Libation a few times on Friday & Saturday nights and have always had an awesome time. I heard they were starting up a Sunday brunch & got very skeptical. But they definitely surprised me...in a GOOD way! It was kinda nice to see such an upscale club transform itself into a relaxed brunch atmosphere. The food was so delicious, some of my friends ordered twice! For $19 we got food & 3 pint-glass size drinks! (definitely not the small glasses you get at other brunch places) There was a good crowd, great music, and the staff was super friendly & attentive to my group. If you wanna chill out with delish food while watching the game, this is definitely the place! My friends & I will surely be back for another Sunday Funday! hot spot on lower east side 1/7/2008

I have been to Libation several times and have had zero to no problems at the door. I have been there with groups of friends, on a bachelorette party and have had table service. I found that each time the service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. The music is off the hook and keeps the energy high. i have been to libation numerous times and had a great time everytime out. i have always had an easy time at the door even without doing bottles, however i almost always go for bottles because of the reasonable rates and the service. if u r looking for a good time i recommend it, formulate an opinion for yourself. I'm very shocked by some of the reviewers, they are so spiteful towards this place that you beg to wonder whether they have other motivations. I am a regular at Libation and every time I'm here its a great time. though its not a typical LES watering hole, its nice having the option when you live down here. Maybe you should get to know the bartenders, staff and crowd before you judge it. I never review places on citysearch because like mother always said opinions are like a##h##es everybody has one. more

Next time you are in NYC a must go to bar is Libation. I always enjoy checking out the next hot spot but, most of the time it is just a bunch of hype. My boyfriend and I met some friends there last weekend and we will be back. The DJ played my kind of dance music. I began dancing while sipping my first drink, which never happens. The crowd is well dressed and a good mix of men and women. Make sure you check out every floor the place has a nice layout and an awesome atomsphere. That was definelty one night out that I'm glad I took a chance on a new spot. more

best music on the LES 10/21/2007

Went to LIbation this past weekend and it was a great night out. My friends and I got a table on the thrid floor, the waitresses knew what they were doing and took care of us. The DJ was amazing havent heard anyone play some of those tunes in awhile, dance floor was packed! The first and second floors were good too. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for a good dance club on the LES, and if your not getting bottle service, get there early to avoid a line. more

Highly enjoyable place. 9/26/2007

I went for the first time last Friday and was pleasantly surprised. The front door service were very welcoming and were nice to all my friends. Also the bartenders were fantastic. Usually when I go out I have to hunt down a bartender, these girls (especially the blonde one) were so nice. They came right up to us and immediately got us a drink. I loved the fact that Libation has there own drink menu, so you can try one of their own concoctions cause I dont go for the beers and I am too much of a girl to do straight liquor. Good crowd too. One bouncer gave us a problem for sitting at a VIP table that no one was using, but I let that slide. couldn't get in my own party 8/7/2007

I was the one who organized/booked a private party here only to find that i was turned away at the door by the snobbiest bleached blonde door girl ever. She acted like there was no private party booked that day and turned away most of my guests. Tried to get the management and the promoter who i organized the event but they are no where to be found.
